An old forgotten gem from some of Canada's finest! Our Lady Peace Naveed and this band in general was an important part of my childhood. Damn I miss the 90's! Canada was killing it in the 90's with some very talented bands and musicians. Again, very glad I grew up in that decade.
They are TOURING This Year with fellow CDNs MOIST and TEA PARTY ! ! ! I MOTHER EARTH are WICKED LIVE and Edwin, the Lead Singer often performs Songs from his Solo work fronting EDWIN & THE PRESSURE and VICTOR featuring Alex Lifeson of RUSH.... GR8 MUSICIANSHIP and Songwriting! 😂 ❤
Steve, I honestly don't know. Edwin left (for whatever reasons) and they still forged on with a different singer. Edwin was a big part of this band but (lyrically and vocally) but the music is still there. They have a very bassy sound (which I love) and yes, should get more recognition than they have gotten. Almost two decades of success. The record buying public can't be wrong LOL. But those first two albums. OMG!!
Part of it is probably because there was just so much great music coming out in the rock scene overall in 1993 and thereafter. Doesn't justify this band getting buried, at least in the US, but there were so many good bands out, and for whatever reason this one got passed over. I did hear them on the radio in Seattle, though. I'm certain Not Quite Sonic got airplay.
My drummer friend got to jam with Jag while I played cruisin USA with Edwin. Years later we both hung out in their tour bus when Brian was the lead.... All great times 👌
Feel heavy Once felt it.... hard Question an answer for a thousand days Give breath to the earth then let it drift away Open and flow just swinging forever Making love to the ground because it just feels better It ain't easy Drink it in Think awhile... spit There's both shining and darkness Yet they shine a day Was there a man on a class Or was it just a fake Even in shame You can't hide your growth Though the butterfly flies He's sinking like a stone The killing sun It hurts my eyes And comes hard Onto my skin And as I find shade From tree to tree I live to learn To dig down deep I feel the pain And love the hurt I don't complain Trancing in the grass Suck it off the world When you're full of it Shrug, feel fortunate Then go where levitation lives Where aggravation grows Where sleeping's to hard On the thinking bone Intensity is what I need To suffer for the pleasure Its heat, head, life and death Living all together In a small room Full of me and my friends Trying to find the means To justify the ends

I believe my previous comment was supposed to contain some form of an "I fucking love this song!" or "This band is amazing!" But, I sort of forgot to add it in. Noticing a pattern?
Cuz Edwin went 14 year oldtrolling douche..new singer was ok. Saw em in their first reformation show at A.J.'s hanger in Kingston, ON...also saw Edwin solo in Barrie....both were doomed.
Since fucking when is this song on rockband?! Why was I not alerted? Before you ask... yes. I do live a cave... ok not really I just um... you know what? Never mind I forgot why I even began typing this. Fair thee well.
Zappa style riffs and the crunch of grunge, pure beauty

Couldn't agree more :)
ah ah, they were part of my introductory Columbia club tapes! Marked my youth. Both tapes.
Still rocking this song in 2024.

Hell yeah
why did these guys never get much recognition? Ive rocked to them for a very long time!!!
They were pretty much only Canadian-big before the days of social media and RUclips. They lost a lot of momentum when Edwin left in 1997.

@@chriscampbell9191 you couldn’t have said it any better.
Nothing else like this in 1993. Way ahead of its time. Pre-nu metal.
Was thinking the same thing
Well, for the most part yes. You should check out the band Doom Nation. Them and Biohazard were doing similar stuff.
Seaweed, Helmet, IME, Quicksand, Swevedriver...I miss the 90's
I saw these guys with Our Lady Peace both playing first albums. Fckn highlight of my youth. IME makes 🇨🇦 proud man.

Best band I've seen live and I've seen 2 bands live
I hold this close to my heart the whole album is a F@#kin Masterpiece. Edwin
He has such an epic voice! If he yelled like this in all his songs! They'd be perfect! This song goes so hard!
So... a mix between Buthole Surfers, Janes Addiction, Stranglehold (Ted Nugent) Melvins and Clutch! whats not to like!
This is better than all of them together
Feel heavy
Once felt it.... hard
Question an answer for a thousand days
Give breath to the earth then let it drift away
Open and flow just swinging forever
Making love to the ground because it just feels better
It ain't easy
Drink it in
Think awhile... spit
There's both shining and darkness
Yet they shine a day
Was there a man on a class
Or was it just a fake
Even in shame
You can't hide your growth
Though the butterfly flies
He's sinking like a stone
The killing sun
It hurts my eyes
And comes hard
Onto my skin
And as I find shade
From tree to tree
I live to learn
To dig down deep
I feel the pain
And love the hurt
I don't complain
Trancing in the grass
Suck it off the world
When you're full of it
Shrug, feel fortunate
Then go where levitation lives
Where aggravation grows
Where sleeping's to hard
On the thinking bone
Intensity is what I need
To suffer for the pleasure
Its heat, head, life and death
Living all together
In a small room
Full of me and my friends
Trying to find the means
To justify the ends
I love this song thanks Rock Band for showing me great songs like this one
Perfect

"I" saw this band live when they played After The Gold Rush in 1994. It was a great show. I hope they make music again.
From my favourite album of all time...
They're one of those bands or every song is good. I've never taken them off my rotation
