I love Deering Goodtime open back without tonering because: Nice Sound, nice playing, nice looking, nice weight, nice prize. Period! :)
I bought a Deering Goodtime years ago in the UK. I never learned to play it unfortunately. Recently I've got back into my guitar playing and I need to have a look at it as it's sat in its case in a cupboard. It'll be an interesting thing to behold; It's been so long that the last time I got the case out it was a repository for some 'special interest' magazines from my teenage years. The wasted opportunities of youth...
Thanks! I appreciate this video, very helpful. I have one f these on order and cant wait to get my hands on it! Also will check out more about Peghead Nation!
Nice discussion. I have not known whether to recommend these banjos to my students, but perhaps I will now. Thanks for posting this.
Definitely thinking I am going to order the open back banjo goodtime banjo as I am starting to learn to play clawhammer and I also play 3 finger style banjo and I think this would be a perfect banjo for me
I ordered one of these from my local music store today. Can't wait!
I love my Goodtime 2, will keep it for the rest of my life.
I got one of these and like mine.
Great banjo
I Love my Deering Americana
Ya I have a DVD of you on the bango
Have two more expensive Deerings. Should have started with one of these. Then maybe I would have known which of the more expensive ones to buy.
Hi, may I ask - in your opinion is the Recording King Dirty 30s 5 string banjo as good as or better than the Deering Goodtime 2?
I only have limited funds. I have borrowed a Goodtime 2 and it sounds good to me.
What is the song he played in the beginning called?
Old Joe clark
Banjo Kid Thanks
$600 isnt entry level for me right now i wish i could get that banjo but im probably gonna get a recording king dirty 30
No matter where I go I would never throw any of my instrument in the car. Throw and instrument kind of making a buzz in my head. Can't go together. :P
turn up the volume
If there only was a tunneled fifth string version... :/
