Why, if I click on this, and listen to the song, I cannot stop it before the end, no matter what ''important'' things I need to do ''immediately''?.........
@@sistertracy-thechurchofroc6574 thanks for the response. Couldn't agree more. I even put his voice on my 'opening page' here on RUclips, when one clicks on my Barbapapa icon. Try it :-) Click on it now and check out my uploads haha. Take care sister! By the way, I saw SDH a couple of times live in the early 90's Great concerts. Love 'em!
Love this band. Little prejudiced but man, this is good :-) I'm very used to the up-tempo version, but this is also amazing. Usually when a band re-does one of their own it sucks, but this one..... hhhmmm.... Thanks for the upload!
It's also the alternate name for Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of money, fortune, power, prosperity and beauty. I think he's referring to the common meaning of "illusion"or "dream". Everything in this physical reality is "maya", as we perceive it thru the filter of our five senses. So, he's saying he was lost in the "dream" or wrapped up in the illusion of what he thought or felt, was real. That's what I think anyway. Now, next time I talk to Gary, I'm going to ask him.
I thought he said Wrapped up in mire.. Mire a situation or state of difficulty, distress, or embarrassment from which it is hard to extricate oneself. "he has been left to squirm in a mire of new allegations" verb
@@kevinmeade2760 I could see how you would, but I know Gary...he has Hindu beliefs...trust me, it's "maya". By the way, I received word earlier that Gary Floyd died today. I used to find it hard to believe that the vocalist for the legendary punk band "The Dicks" and the singer of "Sister Double Happiness" were the same person...now I'm surprised that I was ever surprised! He was so talented and kind. He was a dear friend and punk til the end. RIP Gary
I love this song. It's an earworm from hell though. Ill be humming it for the next few days.
Love the song 🎶
RIP Gary Floyd, 5/2/24. You were a dear friend and punk to the end. We'll miss you. Rest in the arms of The Mother. Om Namah Shivaya.
