Heard that here in Belgium too, people found dead after a while some for months! In an appartement complex then I wonder how couldn’t nobody notice it? There must been a smell. Some say yes it smelled but we thought that someone hadn’t cleaned well and left trash? I worked as a nurse aid supporting people at home and then you learn the elderly don’t have lots of contacts even family, some are keen to come when your there to say how and what it has to be done. When they leave, the elderly say well at least I saw them just to scold me not to talk about my live and being in the Second World War. Then I told him look if you want to follow around and talk about it do so, but I have to do my job but I don’t mind listening. When I talked to my supervisor because she had a call from the daughter that he was a nuisance when I was there so I say look when someone calls for that why don’t they take dad or mom out of the house or family gathering. And nobody is nuisance when I can do my job and he’s just lonely.
