32 vs 33 vs 34 - BBCOR Baseball Bat Test with the Marucci Cat8
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 18 сен 2024
- The Baseball Bat Bros test out the difference between four different sizes of the same BBCOR bat.
Conclusion: THE SIZE OF BAT YOU GET WILL IMPACT YOUR HITTING GAME EQUALLY AS MUCH AS THE TYPE OF BAT YOU GET.
Will's favorite: 34"
John's favorite: 33.5"
Cam's favorite: 33"
You can check out the Marucci Cat8 here:

And if you’re thinking about moving up a size with your bat: don’t make that decision based on tee work or front toss - hit off live pitching with decent velocity first so you can see how it affects your bat speed and barrel control
The Baseball Bat Bros use the Axe bats
Can u guy do the Easton fuze 360 when the shut down is over
So what is the best deal for a freshman player almost a sophomore a 33”/30 or 32/29 with an Easton project 3 alpha?
yessir!
size preference is up to you (what's the biggest size you can get around well against live pitching) - but get this if you can www.closeoutbats.com/rawlings-quatro-bb8q.html
I could watch these guys hit all day long
Frrrrrrr
Same
Ik it’s satisfying
Some kid on my team swings 34 and he’s 5’6 I thought he was tryna be funny until I saw him at the plate he was hitting shots
Jose altuve has entered the chat
According to my girlfriend, yes size does matter
ahahah, you’re so funny, I’m laughing so funny right now, this joke totally hasn’t been made 1000 times, hahaha. How original and hilarious,
Omg thanks😍😍😍😍😘😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
say sike right now
@@bvfishing8338 I don't understand why u have to get mad at him he's just trying to make a joke
mine says mine is to big for her 😎
i’m a virgin and i don’t have a girlfriend
I’ve swung a 34” since my junior year of high school. You’ve gotta really commit to it but I think it’s a lot better for me since I’m a big dude 😂 but I’m a junior in college now, and I’ve hit mostly every homerun in my life once I started using a 34”
"that's a nice *ducking* hit"
lol Gus
he got scolded lol
It’s crazy coming back to this video and watching and seeing how much you guys have progressed in 9 months. Love the Chanel, keep up the great work!
When I started learning to hit I was using a 34in 28oz slowpitch softball bat because that's what my day had. I would choke up to the top of the grip and swing as hard as I could. I was 6yrs old at the time.
I subbed to you just because this comment cracked me up so much
Same here except back then the bats were 34/34. If you missed the SS it hurt like someone dropping a hammer on your hands.
She'll tell you your 32 is good but she really wants that hard to handle 34
My son and we’re talking about this the other day. He’s 11, a very strong hitter even in 12U. He was using 30 drop 10 then went to a drop 8. He now swings a 31 -10 5150 or -8 Cat 7. He’s till has good control but hits about 20 feet farther.
When I made the transition from 33 to 34 my sophomore year of high school it was pretty easy, didn’t notice any difference in weight of the bat or getting to inside pitches or anything. The power was the biggest difference, easily added an extra 30 feet or so on well hit balls.
Love the vids keep doing what you do and be safe during this event.😁
“Event” that aged well
In high school as a senior i swung a 34.. I didn’t have bat speed but I knew how to hit.. I use the length of the bat as leverage & I would always hit bombs & linedrives.. people would say that I had power but all I did was put a practice swing at 75-80%....
You speaking facts on size differences when I got into bbcor I swang a 32’ and 33’ but by my senior year I swang a 34 it was a big difference it felt heavy at first then after a year it was light but It was still heavy
My son and I did an experiment: Slightly end-loaded 32" (2022 Stinger Guardian) vs. light-swinging 33" (2018 Rawlings Velo). In open field BP, he thought the swing weight felt similar, but he hit more over the fence with the 32" Guardian and had better barrel control.
He's a D3 college player. Versatile hitter. Prefers barrel control over power. Trying out the 32" as a gamer this season to see how it plays.
Wish y’all would put one out every other day during this dang quarantine. I am guessing the editing is the most difficult part. We enjoy them so keep it up.
We'll keep it up every 5 days or so at least!
I'm 5'6 125 lb but I swing a 34 it has a good weight to it and a lot of whip which I find better because I keep my hands really inside. I like End Loaded bats even if I'm a leadoff because of the weight that it gives. Nobody else swings a 34 on the baseball program besides me and I'm one of the smallest there 😂
Great video guys!
Thank you!!
Best Bat Channel Out There!!⚾️⚾️
I hit homers with the 32
Say sike
You guys should do a axe elite against cat 8, they sound almost the exact same
I use 34 I was told I would hit farther with an advantage it’s kinda like end loaded just gotta get use to it
I love the noise it makes when the bat hits the ball
F=MA. Just have to keep your hands inside the ball and you will get around and the ball will jump. A few years ago when I took physics in college I did the math and found that batspeed does not decline as much as the additional increase in mass. The real issue is that the additional inertia of the longer bat means that if your mechanics are off and you are long to the ball, it will be quite unforgiving and you will be late, which actually has less to do with the weight of the bat. This is why it might be an interesting experiment to do a 33 drop 2 vs a 34 drop 3 vs a 33 drop 1. I still think the inertia of the bat will help with dingers, but it might be a way to get harder hits without having to make a full jump. When Maple started becoming a thing, people thought that the heavier wood was the sole reason for more home runs.
love that!!!!
John needs to grow his hair back!
working on it!! lol
Awesome vid ! Thanks for the info. You guys are great - so glad I found your channel this year !
Always a real pleasure to see your videos (from France for me). Keep it up guys 💪
loving the video ideas you guys come up with
I can see John hit all day long. Best channel
I used to hit 33 or 34 271 or 110 (maple) and never really hit bombs. Switched to 32 inch 243 (birch) and I hit a couple dingers every season now (though my hand is over the knob so it swings more like a 33). I think it all depends on your particular swing mechanics, bat speed, lower half, etc.
those birch bats hit bombs!
Love learning about these bats thanks!
Do a what is the best BBCOR of 2020 vid please!!!
R F the meta
will do!
Love the vids keep it up
So I was already trying to figure out if my son would be better off with a 31" end loaded bat or a 32" light swing. We were looking at the Elite One and Hyperwhip fusion by Axe. Based on this video it sounds like the longer light swinging bat would be the better option. Am I right?
Please do Cat 7 vs Cat 8
Can you do videos about fastpitch bats? Thanks for these videos, they are very informative.
Just got into an adult baseball league. In highschool I used a 32. Im using a 33 in this lg and I’m hitting the ball good but I think I’m gonna switch to a 32. I’m 6’0 220 pounds. Is their any other bigger guys who use a 32?
This is a very useful video. Translates well to USSSA bats and especially USA bats.
I'm 5'10 and used to swing a 33" and, sometimes, a 33.5". When I started to swing 34"... My god, that put my batting average on other level hahahahahaha
I watch all of your videos and want to know what would be your go to contact hitter bat for highschool/travel ball. I am leaning towards the Victus Vandal because of its price and its light swing
Good call!! The only contact hitter bat I like better than that is the Meta
Can we appreciate that he spent hundreds of dollars for one video
Money he makes doing RUclips video 😉
Just got one! There awesome. I got the cat 8 expensive but worth it!
Have to say man I’ve watched a lot of these videos and will is a very VERY good hitter and athlete period but to drop Bombs lefty and righty is mad impressive
🧡
Compare some drop 5 USA bats.. Easton ADV vs. Demarini Voodoo.. Or any -5 USA ...Keep up the good vibes!
Do the Adv 1 vs adv
Great video guys keep it !!!!!
Cameron is out here hitting in converses 😂straight bombs
Can’t wait to play against John been watching this channel for sometime now and just found out he’s committed to YVCC. I play at OC
nice man!!!
you guys should do a Z-1000 review!
Damian Tarin Not sure anybody is going to be willing to let them use it.. Maybe the person that lets them use it, gets to participate for that video.
Y’all should try to hit home runs with a 31 lol. I’m in HS and I use a 31” voodoo one but I still hit for power
What were your height and weight at that time? I'm getting an 31/28 one, currently 5'8 and 150lbs. Thanks!
Yes
Just bought a 34” 31 oz on Amazon. I hope it’s good
Great video. Thanks
Amazing videos! Yall should put The goods vs every other bbcor
What do you guys do with the bats once you’re done with the video? I’m need of a new BBCOR, do you sell the bats?
A whole bunch of giveaways coming up!
Hi! I’m a pretty big kid. Like 6’0 and 195. I start high school next year and am looking for a one piece bat from any price range. What bat would you recommend?
New channel Thank you. Are they heavy swinging at all? I’m more of a power hitter and I’ve never really had a “good” bat before as I couldn’t really afford it but I’ve saved up.
New channel lately I’ve been looking at the Wastic Bonesaber
Warstick or cat8
Fav so far is the Bonesaber
If y'all aren't going to do anything with that 32 could I possibly have it
Man wish you could see my boy swing a bat so u all can recommend bat. He has been swinging a cf32 but I think he has way our grown it and is more if a power hitter. He has several HR but a lot if the balls he hits seem to be wall balls or warning track. Let me know might be able to send you all a video see what you all think. Was leaning towards the goods or the metta pwr 33
His bat speed should naturally slow down if he goes up to a 33 unless he’s really, really strong. (And i dont just mean what every parent thinks about their kids being strong)
Both great choices man! I bet if you move up a size with a more endloaded bat you'll see those balls starting to leave the yard.
@@baseballbatbros thanks guess with all this going on bat buying gona have to wait.....By the time fall ball comes around new 2021 bats should be around hopefully we can start playing then
Hey I need help deciding the Marruci cat 7 or the Cat 8
cat8 is love
You guys need to hit with the Z1000
I love your guys vids thanks for the guide on the bats?
Glad you like them!
When are you guys doing the bat giveaway
All though I’m late to the video as a new bbcor player with good bat speed all of little league and 50-70 I swung a 31 -5 usssa xl and a 31 -10 ghost USA, I’m 5’3 105 lbs what size bat would be best
Can you guys possibly do a bbcor DeMarini voodoo vs a -5 DeMarini voodoo it comes in a 33/28
I have 32 cat 8 and i just get good hits and no hrs
Come on Gus
You should do a review of the new String King BBCOR bats. Been wondering if they’re any good.
will do! got one ready to take out once covid-19 has passed
Louisville 919 vs 918 vs 917?
I keep seeing 918 was the hottest. No facts to back this up. Just have been reading reviews everywhere I can find them.
Get the meta 919 metas barely bigger price difference but way better it sounds better too
Nice bat! I subscribed
You should do this again with more enloaded bats like the select pwr
Now your flexing on us
😂
33.5/30.5 is honestly a perfect size because you get about the same plate coverage with that little bit more weight to hit the ball harder and farther
Connor Minyard no size is perfect for everyone and it’s silly to think so
Jamie Della sorry, for someone like myself who is a bigger power hitter but can’t quite get a 34 through the zone
Can you guys tell me whether or not i should go from a 32 to a 33? i’m 5’11 and 140lbs. Just started high school. And if so, what bat would you recommend for a contact hitter but is slightly on the power hitting side? I’m thinking of the Victus Nox.
Have you guys review the marucci f5. If you have not you should. It is surprising and could save people a lot of money.
Just got one - will do!
Nice
U guys are amazing
Damn I can’t believe will switch hits that well. Did you originally hit righty or lefty ?
I'm 6'3 220 (go to gym 5 days a week) and want to get back in the cages so that when I have a son and he reaches age 7 or 8 I'm not fully rusty. I am brushing up on my coaching skills/ knowledge of the game (haven't played since HS) my uncle was in the MLB for 15 years and i have decent knowledge of the game. Anyway should I buy a 33 or 34 inch .
god damn it gus
love the bat
You guys should compare the Baum bat to a single piece endloaded bbcor bat like the goods one
will do!
Sweet, can't wait!
Can you remake this video with the 2023 catx
Great video, love the content your channel offers!
In your experience what would be the difference in exit velo and carry distance between a top end 2019 BBCOR like Meta and a low end 2018 BBCOR like an Easton Ghost X? Given that variables were reduced to the greatest extent possible (pitch speed, hitters bat speed, etc). So if same hitter swung each bat against same BP pitcher what would be carry distance and exit velo difference? Just wondering how much bat performance impacts outcome indicators. Thanks
We'll have to test it out!! But I'd initially say that we've seen about a 25-30 foot difference in how far a ball travels between some of our favorites (i.e. Bonesaber, The Goods, Meta Pwr) and some of our least favorites. And that's within a pretty controlled environment (same field/conditions/balls/players/bat size)
The Baseball Bat Bros thank you! Any guess on exit velo difference? ?? Maybe like 3-5 MPH more for a high end bat?
I appreciate all of your content! I also really admire the swings of all of the hitters in the videos! I always look forward to new videos!
You should do like a cat5v6v7v8
So basically it looks like, swing the longest bat you can, and still get it around fast enough. I wonder if the 5, 6 or 7 have similar pop.
yessir!
And it seems like the biggest improvement with the Cat8 is a bigger sweet spot
Is there a certain baseball you guys recommend? High school player here looking for a good practice ball that isn't soft.
Wilson A1030 flat seams! www.wilson.com/en-us/baseball/balls/college-high-school/a1030-flat-seam-baseballs-12-pack
Just picked up a Cat 8 for $60 32/29 🔥🔥 just for fun in the cages.
Do a review on the xl1
Can you do a video of wood bats vs bbcor. Get a decent quality end loaded wood bat
yessir!!
@@baseballbatbros up here where I am in Canada I've had to use wood for the past 7 years since I was about 13 which was my last time using bbcor. Was always jealous of guys down in the states being able to use aluminum/composite through college ball.
Y’all should do a home run derby
it would be cool if they did this with the goods, i got a 33.5 instead of a 33. can anyone tell me if i made a mistake getting a 33.5 instead of a 33?
the goods 2 peice vs voodoo insane
love it!
@@baseballbatbros thanks and also what about voodoo bbcor and voodoo usssa plz
damn wood bats sound soooo much better than metal
Love the videos. Are there any wooden bat reviews?
This summer!
@@baseballbatbros ayy let's go you should try Phoenix bats so far one of the most pop I've felt with wood just not the most durable
@@baseballbatbros keep me in mind for Southbat. 😉
What is yours and your friends bat of choice during a game ? Not including the meta or meta power?
The Goods!
would you say the 33 is a healthy balance between the 2
You should do that with the meta
Wood bats?
That's what he said
I’m 5’10” 150lbs freshman what length should I use?? I’m thinking 32
32 or 33
I have the 32 inch cat8
