Is there a way to assign layers to parts within the part file. For example if i have large assemblies. And all my conduit and conduit fittings in this and future are always going to be pink can i not go into my conduit parts and assign them to be pink when creating 2d views.

Hi ... Is it possible to make a custom property in the drawing file to import the name of the next assembly (where the part assemble) automatically ... like material property and drawing number?

Hi Ali. Thank you for your comment. Would you mind expanding a little bit more on that please? If I understand you correctly, in a drawing of part, you want to link custom properties from the assembly where the part is used?

if I create a section view, it doesn't have the colors as assigned to features when creating the parts... normal view, the applied colors come as expected in shaded views with edges... but as soon as I create a section view in drawing.. all colours dull and go away? why
