Suggested Reading Order for the Witcher Books:
The Last Wish
*Season of Storms
Sword of Destiny
Blood of Elves
Time of Contempt
Baptism of Fire
Tower of the Swallow
Lady of the Lake
*Season of Storms
*Most of the events in Season of Storms happen around the time of the Last Wish, so you can read it as the second book if you want. However the Epilogue of SoS takes place after the events of all the books and reveals some interesting information. And since the main story in SoS is not integral to the main plot of the other books it is also acceptable to read it last.
"Season of storms" happend after "Last wish" but before "Sword of destiny".
Yes and it's fine to read it like that, but since SoS isn't integral to the plot and the epilogue hints at Geralt's ultimate fate, I prefer to read it last. I'll add an explanation though to make that clear.
*A Brief Note on Canon:*
Strictly speaking, canon for this universe is based solely on what the author has written or said. This includes the 5 main novels and 3 books of short stories, along with interviews and other writings like Dynasties, which contains his notes on certain royal families.
And while canon on this Channel will be similar, there will be some exceptions. So below I have outlined exactly what is considered Witcher canon for Civilization Ex.
Primary Canon:
This will be the main source of information for all videos. Almost all the information given will be from these sources.

Assorted Andrzej Sapkowski Writings like "Dynasties"
Secondary Canon:
This will be from other books, non-netflix show and movies, roleplay games and comics, written by authors other than Andrzej Sapkowski. These sources will only occasionally be used, and only when there is very little information about a certain topic.
For example, almost no information exists about Werebbubbs in Primary Canon, so some minor points about them are taken from secondary sources.
In the rare occasion when Secondary canon is used, I will say or write qualifying words like "maybe" or "possibly". These words indicate that the information is not from a primary source and therefore cannot be considered 100% accurate.
Tertiary Canon:
This will be from the CD Projekt Red games. These sources will almost never be used, however many of the drawings in these videos will be based on the games, though they will usually be blended with book descriptions.
For example, Dandelion's look is based on the games, but his hair color is from the books.

TV Canon:
The Netflix shows and movies will never be used as sources in these videos, UNLESS the title specifically says it will.
For example, with every new season of the Witcher show I will make a season recap based on the last season which will exclusively feature show canon material.
Worth noting: the mutations are unlikely to affect the emotional capacity of Witchers in any way, the idea that Witchers lack emotion is a commonly held belief in the world of the Witcher resulting from their need to demand coin no matter what and the general dislike of Witchers. Witchers may appear emotionless due to the fact that growing up they see most of their peers brutally die and their inability to easily connect with others, but it is clear in the books that Geralt holds no such affliction.

We dont know exactly, it has not been explained in the books, but it is possible they had a similar event to the Christian belief in the resurrection of Jesus.

It doesn't have a name, neither does the continent.
shame that more witchers could not have been made and Kaer morhen populated by witches who could. make one another journey on the path more bearable.
