That come up awesome great work buddy . I had an XB Hardtop 5.8 / c10 auto , black in color back in the 90s . And the rust you had was pretty much the same i had to repair a little less . Mine too had a vinyl roof that had been remove prior to my purchase . I paid 1100 bucks and after clean up sold for 4500 bucks which back in the 90s was upper range price for these awesome machines . Do i regret selling it ? F--- yes .
My Dad and Mum had the Falcon in this model and we loved it as Kids. In the day before compulsory seat belts we used to take turns in laying on the back window ledge! It was a great towing car and has many fond memories. This car looks gr8 mate.
Well done. I stripped down my XB-GT coupe 10 years ago and hope to get back to it this winter. I'm interested to see where all the bits go back to. I've got nothing to reference it to here in NYC but I'm sure I'll get it back together with the help of guys like you who are posting their work. Thanks and God bless.
Thanks for watching and your kind words. Hoping to get another part posted soon, Covid Lockdowns are slowing the progress a little bit though. Let me know if you have any questions as to where bits go as this car has been apart for about 5 years too...
Awesome build so far. Aaahhhh rust. The more u dig the more u find. It is a bit like an iceberg. 1/8th above. The rest below. Love that blue. XA XB XC Hardtops rule.
Thanks for your comments. The rust repairs were pretty epic and this was one of the better shells. I think Apollo Blue really was one of Ford’s better colours.
Dare I ask what it all set you back? I have a 351 GS Coupe in my shed requiring a rebuild, tempting to sell it and buy something already done. I should qualify, I mean paint an panel.
Beyond economic restoration? Arches and sills are nothing on a car that's nearly 50 years old. Try that in the UK, bloody thing would have rotted to nothing
@@machbadger1509 Fair enough. As a former teacher, can I suggest you write down a few points and elaborate on those points from the heart. Otherwise you seem to be doing a good job. I enjoyed watching the video.
fantastic paint job , the coupe will look magnificent.
Man I'm 5 mins and 30 seconds in and man I would of just thrown the thing in the bin at that point. Well done!
Awesome paint !
Really Nice Build Mark!
I like how you kept the GS stripe. Loke the colour. They compliment each other real good.
That's absolutely mint. It's good to see some companies doing a job you paid them too.

Great video thanks beautiful colour love these coupes worth the effort
Hi, installing the stainless top window trims ( and removal of them) would be great. Thanks
Fkn mint mate, Love these old cars. My XA, sadly caught fire many years ago. One day I may get another one....
The body looks sensational
It is arrow straight and a testament to the quality and workmanship of the panel shop.

You do great work ! But, you did have some Florida State Gators theme going on there for a bit. Thumbs Up ! From Bradenton, Florida.

Mint👌
Excellent result, what body shop did you use?
Hi and welcome to the channel. The 2nd body shop that did 95% of the work and without any headaches was Double Trouble Restorations
Awesome work!! Who did the panel work if you dont mind me asking!!
The Panel and Paint was done by Double Trouble Restorations
Well done. Subscribed. what colour is that?
It’s Apollo Blue, a factory XB colour. The stripes are silver dollar metallic. Thanks for watching 😊
Best thing you can do for any car is remove the vinyl roof, unless you want a convertible
Apollo Blue ??
Yes mate, it’s Apollo Blue. One of Ford’s best colours in my opinion. Thanks for watching 😊
@@machbadger1509 Yeah mate I have a XBGT Hardtop in Apollo Blue. One of the best.
Xb with Xa tail lights lol

The narrator failed to come across as clever. Very annoying.
Not everybody gets to be an astronaut 😂. Thanks for watching.
That is a not so clever comment. 🤫🤫🤔🤔🤔
I’m not sure that that’s necessary to comment on that.
If you're not sure ask a grown-up.
