That casserole looks amazing. For years, I've been telling people to buy the Indian butter ghee (clarified butter) to make grilled cheese sandwiches. (I buy mine at Trader Joe's.) You can spread ghee on the bread all the way to the crust, and the sandwiches turn out better.
Curious.... in what ways is ghee on frying grilled cheese VS regular real butter ?

@@mddell58 With ghee, they just remove the milk solids which is better for lactose intolerant people and people who just don't want to eat dairy.
So very easy to make on your own….
@@mddell58it has a much higher smoking point. Very easy to make, lasts FOREVER in the fridge or freezer. They say it lasts at room temperature too. I always keep it in the fridge.

Why spray with PAM, when you are going to have butter in the pan? As a kid onions gagged me. I sure love them now. This is so different, it looks delicious!

Paula, have you ever tried an oil spritzer instead of spraying the pan? Has anyone out there? You can easily make clarified butter. I would never buy it. Panko in your area gives a nice crunch. Red meat is sooo unhealthy...yuck. People you can get protein from other sources, so don’t chime in with stupid statements, like ‘we need meat’...no you don’t.
I have to disagree with you. I went off of meat for a year and became VERY sick. I was taking the proper supplements which didn't help. I stupidly listened to a person who said it was the way to eat. When I went to the doctor he said, "get off of that ridiculous way of eating and eat meat, ancient humans survived because of the animals they ate." Well, I went home and started eating meat immediately. Within 3 days I was a new person. I'll NEVER do that again.
