Church Leaders Visit New Zealand Mosque

Leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints visited a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, Thursday, October 24, 2019, during their ministry in the Pacific.
Sister Sharon Eubank, president of Latter-day Saint Charities and first counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, and Sister Becky Craven, second counselor in the Young Women general presidency, were invited to the Al Noor mosque, one of two mosques involved in terrorist attacks last March.

It brings great joy to my heart when the church reaches out to lovingly help our fellowmen because they all are children of God regardless of who they are. Events like this bring desperately needed love, hope & goodwill in a world where there is so little.

Please inform them to use the proper name of the church. They took the name of Jesus Christ out of this video entirely, and apparently our church leadership is ok with that? This breaks my heart.

It's quite a long name for someone to remember, especially when most other churches have only two or three words in their names, and the Latter-Day Saints part was still in there so the woman was clearly trying.
I'd much rather someone get the name a little wrong while trying to get it right than someone just resorting to "Mormon Church", and I'd expect the Church's leadership to have similar feelings on the matter. I'm sure Christ himself understands, or else He would have given His church an easier name to say.
