Hi Kim, I watched this a week ago and I thought you could be interested in an idea that's been rattling around my brain for 20 years or more. A chainsaw powered alternator for boosting battery's in the field. take a chainsaw clutch drum and make it into a flat pulley the same profile as on an alternator. make a fake bar and mount an alternator in line with it and fit the belt. Fit a drop down spike so it will stab in the ground. Needs a positive and an earth wire and wired with a charging light . A few safety guards, Fire up the chainsaw, set the revs and let it charge the tractor you are trying to start. simples. Cheers Jim in Nz
I have a hand roller, works well but designed only for sheet metal, have formed some 18 GA. Material w/ it, like the fleeting cameo insert clips, also enjoyed the joint appearances w/ Kurt. If your channel were mentioned on his, believe you'd grow much faster. In his new line of clothing, a Kim shirt w/ * send it* inscribed might be a hit.
Hi Kim, loved that video and I would love to do a similar one myself. What gearbox is attached to the motor please as it seems to be a really nice speed. Thanks Dai
Here is something you may consider: I had a wood shop (Carpenter) , and installed all the Emergency switches in front of my right knee. Whenever your hands are trapped whatsoever, you still can "kick off" the switch... (Sorry my English isn't better,- cant explain it any other way. I think you get the idea anyway;-)
Wow du bist toll....wo finde ich eine frau wie dich, ich würde zu gerne mit in die Garage kommen und dir helfen und mit dir Schrauben....und dich immer mal dabei vernaschen
Great work. Good to see Woman in Metalworking.
Great job Kim, the build quality looks top-notch.
That is a brilliant roller done good on that 👍 just came across your channel today
Where can I get some of that 130x10 flat plate as all mine seems to have disappeared...
Get stuffed. It’s mine now 🤣🤪
@@CalamityKim1 you tell him
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome! Noting better that making your own stuff for the Workshop!
Question: Why cover the rubber feet thingys when you just can screw them off?🤔🤔
Nice one Kim engineering at best always interesting to watch 👍👍

Your brain works well, nice engineering 😊
Hi Kim! 🙂really like yours projects! Great job again! Thanks for sharing 🍺
Nice bit of engineering, love the extras
Excellent well made machine and a really good video presentation.
Thanks you :)
Pretty Nice Build! It works good with the motor.
Thanks Sam, I appreciate the advice a few weeks ago, and your video :)
Nice work Kim. Works very well 👍👌
It’s a very clever idea,nice to see 👍
nicely done, I like the toggle switch idea, so you can just tweek it if you need a little bit more. 👍🏻
That’s it, makes it quite usable. I was concerned it may lack a bit of feeling or control but it certainly doesn’t. Thanks
Thanks Kim wonderful job. Jim in NZ
Wow this really impressive machine.
Cool project. Thanks for sharing
Clever very impressed
"....ask me how I know..."
Lol yupp, we've all been there before.
Great build!!

Like your videos, love learning things hat I should’ve paid attention to in my youth.
Most definitely impressive 😊
Brilliant job, it looks to be working well.
What a great little machine where did you get the design.
Have you done any trade training ie apprenticeship.
I have indeed. I’m a mechanical engineer by trade, I worked as a toolmaker but left after finishing.
@@CalamityKim1 well done I'm a fitter and turner by trade and specialist in machining and maintenance in Australia
@@clydelevey2737 Totally agree another fitter & turner UK
I like the clips added in .
I’ve wondered if you had a channel love your work with podge !!
Yeah I don’t post much. 🙈

Smashing work Kim ! 👍
Nice build 👍
Very nice job Kimb, where did you source all the bearing bit please, Barking Mat
Hey Mat, I got them all off eBay. If you send me a message on the forum I’ll get you some links if you want.
Brilliant job looks to be a handy tool
Nice neat job.
What size motor and reduction gear have you used if you don't mind me asking?
Off the top of my head I think it’s .18kw .25hp gearbox is 60:1. I’m sure its a 2800rpm motor but I really can’t remember without looking.
Brilliant well done
Nice job Kim
Love your videos
Awesome job 👍
Different positions is good.
That's bloody neat.
Nice work Kim I’ve made a couple of collars for log burner flues in the past. They would been a lot easier to make with your device
Complimenti
Very nice!
Nice one Kim 👍🏻
Thanks Andrew. I hope you’re well :)
@@CalamityKim1 Im good thanks Kim how you doing 😀

Cool
What does an Ugga Dugga equate to in foot pounds 😀
Well if one ugga dugga is 15nm then that would be 11.06ft lb :D hope that helps haha :D
Kim , im sure you are busy, but , BUT, can we have another video?
All the best Matt
Hi Matt, I have another nearly done but I’ve just been really busy. Maybe next weekend I’ll post it.
@@CalamityKim1 Hope you do , are you on Facebook if so friend Matt Thomas Westhillforestry 👌 not like that, im old 👌👌
Can you sell the machine you made ?
I could do but I’d probably not be able to source another motor.
Great build, but I have one question. Does an ugga-dugga translate(spelling ?) to foot pounds or inch pounds of torque? 🤣🤣🤣
That’s how I spell it haha. It’s foot pounds 😬
@@CalamityKim1 😁😂🤣🤣
What a handy machine to have 💪 can see now why ur such a hut with mucka 🤔😂 Send it 👍👍
Haha. I was going to put a clip in this but I thought thought otherwise 😂
