I think this is just an old tradition. The school masters meet in chambers. When the meeting is over, the school headmaster comes out of chambers to make an announcement. Boys can air any "grievances" at that time, but most "leg it" out of the area to avoid getting caught by the school masters.
@KNTFM I'm going to tottally regret asking this but here we go anyway. What would you do to solve this 'problem' then? You think people will work long hours and sacrifice the rest of their lives for average pay?
@Dramionelover101 If the head master makes a new rule that the boys don't think is fair they all gather outside school hall until the head master gets there then someone shouts leggit when the head master arrives.
@KNTFM Could I just point out that my father went to state school, paid his own way through uni and lived in a shit flat (with the shower in the kitchen!) and worked his way up to CEO of one of the largest investment banks in the world. Stop blaming the circumstance. What you fail to understand is that being at 'the top' requires 20 hour working days, no weekends and no family time, most people are not willing to do this and that is why they get paid so much. It's not all champagne and caviar!
@KNTFM Of course I had a lot of points that I would have liked to argue; I'm just not sad enough to list them across 3 comments like you. I'd rather write something productive, like a politics essay, rather than trying fruitlessly to change a strangers views on something that they are clearly dead set on.
@KNTFM So what do you think would happen if everyone was working class? Who would pay taxes for you to send your kids to school and pay everyones benefits?!
@KNTFM if you feel that strongly about it, go and join the anti capitalist protesters... Everyone is born entitled to a free education which is more than enough to give everyone the opportunity to make something of themselves. There are plenty of routes out of homelessness and poverty, even in the current economic situation. Don't be bitter because you can't send your kids to a good school, and your parents couldn't send you to one
@KNTFM I haven't used an insult once. I just see this as a blatant waste of time. It's obvious that neither of us is going to change the other's views. Not that I care it's not like I'll ever meet you - although if I do, I promise you a proper debate ;)
ok i think you might want to refreain from usin such terms as this is youtube. You will find a large amount of people on this site will actually fit most of the latter criteria and thus you shall keep your mouth closed.
'the wealthier you are the easier life is'. Wow. Why do people feel the need to generalise and polarise so much. You;re right, inequality is wrong. But noone's ever going to listen to you if you say such stupid things as that. You're hurting your cause, not helping it.
Just fucking well concentrate on getting well in there with the Chinese & the Indians will you? there's 62 million of us plebians ( and Harrow ) counting on you, you know.
Dear etonian reading this, please expose yourself to respected experts from every religion and political ideology. Also please please make some lower middle class and working class friends!! I appreciate you guys are just kids and have a LOT on your plate from school, but your lives are completely alien to most people. If you like I can point you in some useful directions, just reply to this. Otherwise, enjoy your youth
@KNTFM So you don't think working your ass off and paying millions of pounds tax when you dont use the nhs or state school or street lighting or anything is fair...?! I expect you do because you seem to think the world owes you something
@ThisIsWater7 No, I'm saying poverty wasn't the cause of their death. The cause of their death was the fact they didn't try to get help. You don't just commit suicide because you're poor. A lot of people are poor and 'happy'. They probably had depression. Obviously it makes them better off, or hadn't you realised that houses were worth money? Again, if you feel so strongly about this, stop being a keyboard warrior and take some action. It's just like moaning about the govt. and then not voting..
@KNTFM Every child unless they live in abject poverty (rare in the UK) has the same chance of achieving their goals, sure for the wealthy, they may have contacts etc. but actually universities have to accept a certain amount of children from the state education system. Society in HICs is like this: you put in the effort, you achieve however you don't put in the effort, you don't achieve. So would you please like to stop ripping on the wealthy and get off you lazy arse and work!
Did you know that 79% of tax is payed by 10% of people. I think you need a better understanding of your, I'm sorry what was it... 'socio-economic equality'!!!
capitalism is fair in its harshness. if you give a shit, you can work and get to the top. if you get there you keep working. why? because you can then pay for your descendants wellbeing. the taxation system reduces this, but further complicates it, so that now if you earn money, you are supporting your family AND all those on benefits. the core point being this: you just resent the rich because you are not one of them and have been unable to become one of them, despite the chance.
You should be silent because as far as im concerned rich work way harder than people who are in poverty. look at rich people and the look at someone on benefits hten you wont have to spend all your time having a war with someone you have never met on youtube... get a life
@KNTFM Ok first of all please either learn to spell or be more careful when typing, it's really annoying. Secondly you really don't understand. Would you be able to have a proper think about it and get back to me? It's a waste of my time to debate this with someone who is simply bitter and feeling sorry for themselves. Life is about attitude, have the right one and you are more likely to succeed. You are just blaming everyone but yourself and it's pathetic.
I think they saw a northerner.
Where 😮😂

Did Savile just turn up?
it was a protest for some students who were unfairly expelled!! i was there..
Not all people in poverty are on benefits. Many work VERY hard just to earn enougth to live a simple life.
High quality banter
The bastards of the future, Eton to Oxbridge then to a position of power. Don't you just love the Old Boy Network
They deserve it since their parents and ancestors worked hard to send them there.

I think that was for a guy I know nearly getting expelled!
I went to a grammar school does that make me a wanker automatically?
It's spelt Leggit, and we do it when we protest against something we don't like, and anyone who gets caught by a beak gets punished.
12 years later, how’s life?
why are they running?

Get a sense of perspective before you judge other people by such ridiculous generalisations.
BUNCH OF FUCKING MELTS
@KNTFM Brilliant, you're now boring me so I'll just get on with some A level work so I don't end up like you in the future.

@CFCwehatetottenham inferiority complex.
I went to a private school and we are no different to anyone else who didnt. I wish people would get that into their heads !
tbh, i would do this if i was being approached by a chav.
