"SECOND BEST" A Paunsaugunt Muzzleloader Mule Deer Hunt

The highs and lows of chasing big bucks. Opening morning we had our target buck in range. The sun was directly in our eyes and he went into the trees before we could reposition for a shot. Five days later we would have another chance at him. We would have an equipment failure and have to go with plan B. Plan B would lead us to our "Second Best" buck a wide buck with extras.

Thanks for your comment. Score is a touchy subject and sometimes we get negative comments about it and sometimes positive so we try not to post scores. It was 190” and 31” wide.

What are you talking about? It was a guided hunt. The hunter harvested it. We guided him. He shot it and asked not to be shown on the video or social media.
