- Fellow Patriots & Freedom lovers, I was peacefully exercising my 1st Amendment rights at police Department Located in Rome, NY. Soon after I began, I was confronted by an Police Officer who at first tried to give me and unlawful order claiming the public parking lot was restricted, it wasn’t. When she realized I wouldn’t back down and I knew my rights we then had a positive and cordial conversation and I believe she set a good example for her police department. I'm 100 percent Italian. We do not call pizza sauce gravy. who ever told you that is wrong. and should be punished.
I really liked the fact that she handled the situation by herself. She did not call for backup. She did not need six other cops to assist her.
I wouldn't recommend a promotion, this conversation started out very sketchy, it could have gone very differently very quickly. I believe it didn't because you stuck to level headed conversation and de escalation, once she saw where you were coming from she slowly went into a less guarded mode, but it was nice to see a civil conversation at the end, she basically was just doing her job, and she did it well, that's what she gets paid to do, no promotion should be awarded for that, but maybe recognition, and she got that.

She did a fantastic job in deescalation, not of the situation but of her own emotions. You could see the internal frustration she had initially, and calmed herself enough to properly listen and gain an understanding of the entirety of the situation rather than use her badge improperly. This was super refreshing!

Changing the culture would require or at least allow officers / agents to use individual discretion and judgement. Those qualities are not endorsed or promoted by any top-down or para-military agency, such as a police force. Suspicion and intimidation is their way of operating.

The goal of the Auditors is, in essence, to put themselves out of business. When there is no need for auditors, then they will take other videos. Ironically, they are in the business of putting themselves out of business.
Officer Carletta's temperament was a testament to her city. I was even getting into the conversation and then seeing her smile genuinely shows that some cops aren't too disconnected with the public afterall. Great audit!

Let's make sure we are bombarding the police departments social media pages with praise just as much as we do when things go wrong. It's important that we remain objective and give credit where credit is due. Started a little rough but this is exactly the way you want these things to end and I commend Officer Carletta for her professionalism.

I love that the turning point was that you took interest in the cars/police/public safety. You could hear it in her voice that it took her by surprise and she was almost thankful you thought that way about the threads on their tires. 1. She walks up and tries to get you to leave an open, public parking lot.
2. She lies about fictional vandalism as an excuse to get you to leave.
3. For half the conversation, she has the look of utter contempt for you plastered all over her face.
And then, at the end of the interaction, you claim she needs to be promoted.

I've watched many auditor videos and I know the cops always say "we're just having a conversation", but this is one of the most genuine consensual conversations I have ever seen with an officer. True, it didn't start out great, but once it was established you knew what you were doing, she didn't seem to have any ulterior motive or to be just fishing for information during the ensuing chat.
Wow amazing officer 👏 we need more people like her on the force. She is definitely in need of promotion great representation of her department!

This was one of the best videos. The officer did a great job. She calmed down within a couple minutes and became very approachable and courteous. If all police acted like her it would be great. It’s messed up when you realize she is the minority cop, one in a thousand. Hopefully she will have a long career and be able to teach the next bunch of officers how to conduct themselves. She was a nice officer, started off with an unlawful command, but she keeps her cool, analyzed the situation and acted like a good ambassador for the city. I thought there was a possible dinner date happening for a min.

Police suspicions are normal for the "blue" line of work. Most good cops simply need true lawful information, local policies and constitutional rights.

I was pretty impressed by this extremely rare interaction between the First Amendment and auditor and a police officer who did not attempt to violate his rights or put him in prison for exercising his rights. it is a shame that this is such a rare interaction.

What an incredible interaction. One of the most amazing I’ve ever seen with Sean and law enforcement. This is a true standard for policing. She recognized no threat despite roaming their parking lot and just served a public citizen. She was also somehow knowledgeable on the history and the current up to date info on her community. Just amazing, A+

She came off a little aggressive at first but chilled out super fast and was able to calm down and have a really good conversation. Starting to see that shift if their attitudes, when you started back in the day you had many more negative encounters and now there’s a decent amount of positive and neutral ones. Not as entertaining obviously but it’s amazing to see interactions like this.

I like that you show the positive interactions as well as the negative ones. There are many auditors out there just looking for clicks on their videos and don't seem to ever have any positive interactions on their channels. I like the way that you interact with the police and keep your composure. I do not like when people create 1A videos and get emotional with the police or officials and start cursing and getting into emotional "back and forth" without keeping their cool. Good job Sean, you are setting the standard on how to hold people accountable, while being as respectful as you can. Keep up the good work!
