Too many places to go man! You gonna need few months there but I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience! Take care Bro!!

I heard Bahia has the most beautiful women in Brazil.
The guide dude was great, very informative.
thanks!
He was A+
Yeah but mostly wrong informations lol
@@Erick-id2ov what specifically?
Sao Paulo has the biggest community outside of Japan. They were running from the World War. My grandpa was a Japanese immigrant from Hiroshima. Lots of them are in the countryside of Sao Paulo and they do agriculture. My mom is Italian and they immigrated to Brazil running from the war too. ❤
That’s dishonorable.
@@Trp510 people who Light wars are dishonoble /dishonest
@@Trp510 woman running from war is not dishonorable. And btw the imigration of japanese to Brazil is OLDER than the war. They came in the 1900 +-. Not during the war ;)
@@TicoMakonha Actually most of the immigration to Brazil, be it Japanese, Germans or Italians, happened before the war in the 19th century.
@@nicklaurindo1916 older = came before. You repeated what I said.
I’m falling in love with São Paulo through this video. Now I see why my father traveled to Brazil so much in the 80’s and 90’s. He loved Salvador de Bahia and São Paulo
come to brasil, my friend
I am a black brazilian, native of Sao Paulo, that has lived 20 years in the US,13 years in New York City and what Phil is saying is right on the spot
Thanks for sharing this Brother . I used to live in Brazil for 4 years this is my favorite country. I like the culture, Brazilians are friendly , there’s a lots activities you can enjoy yourself safely etc 🇭🇹🇧🇷🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹 Brazil è nos
It's not exactly true that Brazilian kids tend to stay with their parents longer just for financial reasons. It's cultural. Check Emmanuel Todd's family types. Anglo-Saxons are basically an exception in the world.
The average household income in the city of SP is R$ 3,443.00.
People of Japanese origins have done pretty well in SP, so most of them left Liberdade and live in better neighborhoods. That place has become something like a fake Japanese neighborhood: there are Japanese businesses, but they don't really live there anymore.
It's not cultural. The generation above could afford homes and to live on their own earlier than the current generation, so they left earlier their parents homes. There's even pressure from some families for them to get married early and move out. It is just not that easy now with the rise in prices, comparatively.
@@lucianobarreira5012 nope. The previous generation left their parents in small towns and moved to bigger cities. That's why they had to move away before getting married.
During our 2nd trip to Brazil, we visited the Nordeste for 1 month from Salvador to Fortaleza (Maceio, Maragogi, Recife, Natal, Pipa). Wifey fell in love with Fortaleza but Salvador is definitely my best spot. Much love for Brazil and Brazilians.
been telling Ace, Salvador is another planet.
I think you could visit Maranhão in the next time. São Luís is also an interesting city. And of course, lençóis maranhenses national park.
@@wandson5410 well, knowing that, I would've done that while we were in Fortaleza as our next visit will be to visit the South, from Curitiba to Porto Alegre (Blumenau and Florianopolis). All that after a few trips to Asia ( Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, China...). But Brazil, Ô Brazil! remains our best ever.
The Brazilian Japanese dudes making you the takoyaki food was a trip.. they had that Brazilian swag for real
Great Interview with Phil. I lived around 12 months in Brazil and his description of the educatioon system in Brazil is spot on.
Another Epic one Ace. It's interesting to learn about Brazil beyond the Carnival. Kudos to Phil, he was an excellent guide. Culture is important in connecting the dots. Thank you for your hard work Ace. Looking forward to more of Brazil.
there is so much to explore in this country!!
Phil is the man. Great experience Ace!
Agree 100%
thank you, sir!
@@PhilinBrazil of course. I’ll tap in with your channel. I’ve been researching my ancestry for years, on my father’s side I have Portuguese dna. I’ve always loved Brazilian artist, musicians and this pull towards Brazil. Beautiful getting to experience your light in this video 🙏🏾
I love this one dude, covering Brazil. Brazil my runaway place.
brazil is one hell, bro. i live here all my life
@@mugatr para de falar mal do seu próprio país vacilão ,isso só demonstra para os demais o qto vc é um babaca ignorante
Loved the video especially since I was just in that neighborhood recently. Phil is a wealth of knowledge and amazing tour guide and genuine guy.
thank you so much.
@@PhilinBrazil I’ll reach out to you next time, I visit Brazil often.
Taxes are high in Brazil because the state bureaucracy is massive. Chinese state invests in infrastructure but the Brazilian state spends its money paying wages to government workers that don't add much to the economy.
sad but true
This is a lie. You act frivolously. Compare data from reliable sources such as OECD or World Bank reports and You Will see the facts. The Brazilian public sector is incomparably smaller, and costs taxpayers less, than in German, France, Italy or United Kingdom. Not to mention the USA where just the (useless) War machine has as an indecent cost. Meanwhile, millions of citizen eat poorly and have no health care.
E se vc privatiza, vai pagar mais alto ainda. O problema nao é o valor que vc paga, mas sim o retorno com a infra..
He's very knowledgeable
Wow...I'm very surprised by Brazil...what its infrastructure is like...And especially the guide Phil, he knows it.
I wonder what people like you must think. You'll probably think the streets are made of dirt, all the people have dark skin and the cities are like Haiti with no infrastructure but in the middle of the Amazon and lots of exotic animals. This can only be to be impressed by the infrastructure of the largest city on the American continent and the southern hemisphere.
Nosso brasil é lindo
You guys are dropping major league game👏👏 about Brazil im coming there next month and I’m a Haitian citizen. Keep up the fantastic work fellas 💯
You’re not welcome here
@@WMG-ck6zm why wouldn't he be welcome? Anyone who wants to work, is open, respectful and want to have a free life should be welcome here.
@@WMG-ck6zm anyone is welcome in Brazil, what a stupid (and probably racist) comment

1:00:00 Goiás was famous for gold mining in the past. The drawing represents the sieve gold hunters used to strain the contents of the river bed.
ah ... thank you for that. in the knowledge banks now
Phil é paulista raiz, sem romantização expos a situação real da cidade, sabe da gentrificação que jogou nos paras as periferias longe desse centro, a diáspora nordestina
obrigado pelas as palavras. that means a lot!!! vlw
