  • Modification's done, flange trimmed and tapped coolant fittings. We calculate runner harmonics on a B16a intake and a B18c TypeR too! with dynosheet for rpm reference to the harmonic influence

    With the coolant bypass hose having a dedicated npt fitting makes it very reliable and we discuss runner harmonics and as mentioned
    here is Jasper's 9,700rpm B20vtec we built that runs 12s

    Here’s part 1 where we layed out both intake gasket and started the conversion

    I did this on my personal daily and it’s running strong!💪🏻 B20B w/Z2 pistons ported head, port matched intake.

      @@TheStaticWayCustomz very very nice ! I can imagine it runs good! the owner of my example photo the green ek hatch often takes his EK to Portugal for some track days all the way from Spain too 😎

      @@pacoespinar97 I was meaning to msg u in IG about the second video which I think you would like 😎 aside from referencing your engine bay pictures (your green EK b20 hatch)
      You also frequently race yours on the track + we see the p30 runners being reasonable for that application and rpm 😎

    What kind of power gain do you expect from that head/intake combo?

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  Месяц назад +2

      really depends on the engine I mean I rarely view it as “add a part = gains” it’s always the combo of the whole system and application
      We know a b20/CRV has a rev limit around 6,800-7,000 but the low end 3.5k rpm below is decent and by design that’s what Honda did hence the plenum of the b20 is a bit smaller than even the p30
      That’s also why we included the runner measurement and harmonics even the TypeR/skunk2 offering as we saw on the calculation
      A stock b20 revving to 7k rpm may not take advantage of what it can give
      But a p30 is def usable in the rpm range

    Why not use the stock b20b high comp intake manifold?. Look the be the best stock b series non vtec manifold

    • @SRDmotorsports
      @SRDmotorsports  2 месяца назад +2

      As mentioned in the video plenum isn’t as big as the p30 and runner cross section isn’t as big as the p30
      will always depend on application, as we noticed here? “Blox” just cuz there is aftermarket doesn’t mean it suits the application
