PUNK REVOLUTION NOW!!!!!!
I've really enjoyed following Fontaines DC since their super catchy post-punk debut Dogrels. Their 2nd album A Hero's Death saw them experiment with a darker and more philosophical approach, and now on Skinty Fia it seems they're really able to align their creative able with their strengths as a band. This album isn't always nailing it, but when it does it really is some of the best rock music made this year. Irish band from ireland

Skinty fia (skinty fee-ah) means "the damnation of the deer" it's a sort of irish curse word. The relationship of the irish and the deer is not only the amount of deer in ireland, but the fact ireland was heavily populated with megalaceros, or the irish elk, the largest deer to ever exist

God this band is overhyped. Seriously derivative. In 2022 a group of five guys trying to be Rowland S Howard crossed with the friggin Stone Roses topped off with a vocalist with all the conviction of being flogged with a wet lettuce. Fantano was right prn!
