No one talks about how Vessel held that note at the end. I tried exhaling for the same amount of time he held it and I almost suffocated myself. Phenomenal.
Bro I played a brass instrument in high school (still kept my breath endurance) and I can only make it about 75% it’s crazy
That's about expanding the bottom part of your lungs for a full breath (singing breathing is different), controlling the amount of air you push out (common mistake is to push the air out too fast) and lastly being in great physical shape (like Vessel is or any stage performer really) helps a little too.
Euclid is the best track off the album. It will blow your mind.

Everyone telling you to listen to Euclid should understand you need to indulge in their early works as much as possible, to fully bring this album, song, and trilogy to a close. As others have suggested. Run their discography. Feel their music. Then wrap it all up with Euclid

Low key, this may be my favorite ST song. It's angry, violent, beautiful, and almost ranges into gospel-style in that final chorus. It makes me wanna raise my hands up and join in. Can I also say I love your channel for the simple fact that you riff along w the band on the keys. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, that is a tasteful shuffle beat for you right there.
Their new Album (a Masterpiece to me) "Take Me Back To Eden" (TMBTE) is pure gold, song by song.
There's also two points to mention:
1. Vessel 1 is the composer of ALL the music, every instruments (guitar, piano, bass guitar, voice) except for the drum that is a job for Vessel 2;
2. The 3 album of Sleep Token, the previous two and TMBTE represent a trilogy, and they are linked in a very special way. In this last album, TMBTE, there are a lot of callbacks from the previous albums. SO GOOD. These callbacks are also inside the same album. If you listen to all the tracks by this wonderful album you can easly listen to!
The chord qualities are insane on their newest album. One thing I think you might appreciate is the callback to CHOKEHOLD in TAKE ME BACK TO EDEN.
An emotional chokehold is less scary than... dreadful I think. Loved your input on this track and the artists-spot on! Also appreciate the playing along and yes, even the *pauses* for commentary 😁
Will Ramos of Lorna Shore (who you have reacted to) has done an excellent cover of Chokehold. The man of a thousand demon voices has done a mostly clean cover of Sleep Token showing that he can sing normally.

I laughed so hard on "What's the singer's job?" 🤣 Simply because I thought you meant like Vessel's real job regarding his sexy voice 😋 To me Vessel's singing here is sooo seductive 🥰
Their sound design is what I love the most. Kinda reminds me a bit of The Mars Volta “deloused in the comatorium” in terms of deliberate audio choices between musical moments.

Yeah II the drummer is insane, always said hes one of the best out there currently, he has a couple of just drum playthroughs on youtube, should react to the hypnosis one, absouletly unreal.
Going off your comment about the singer's job, there aren't many artists I've heard that make me feel like the words they're saying are just as important as how they're saying them, or the rest of the song for that matter. Vessel, Chester Bennington, Eminem. There's probably others, but those are the 3 that come to mind immediately. They also just so happen to be 3 of my favorite artists and I think thats because its a lot easier to resonate with their music, and their lyrics in general because of how you feel when they sing/rap them.
Now listen to take me back to Eden again, listen out for the “it was no accident” from the start of this song. Bringing the album full circle. Amazing
Mr Music Shed Man, I really think you would enjoy Calcutta by the ol’ Token. It’s one of their earlier works but it’s phenomenal. It’s Howies favourite.

Hello..I totally dig your breakdown and discovered ST kinda by accident, as I found your video....& subscribed😉 This band completely fascinates me and I'm like drowning in them a little bit....trying not to become obsessive but I think it's too late. Anyways I just moved to Connecticut from NY last year and don't really know anyone else into this this in my life & i try to turn people on to them but nobody seems to have the time in their lives for new music so im over here bonding with people online lol🤣 & yes!...been in both types of chokeholds & when you asked "whats the singers' job?"....my immediate response...to convey. & holy fuckn crap does he ever!!! I hear soooo much Maynard in his opening vocals *chills* and the rest of the band is just as superb! The live performances I've watched are over the top & enhanced by what i describe as "some brilliant interpretive dance moves"

This album lives rent free in my head since it dropped and I’m not mad 😂
II's drumming is probably the best example of technical excellence, artistry and musicianship I can recall in "heavy' music for quite some time. II recently disclosed on the Drumeo piece that he is strongly influenced by gospel drumming. I would say that gospel influence is ALL over this album--composition, vocals, chord progressions--not just the drums.

I just realized how the entire album sort of loops on itself (Chokehold has the same lyrics in it's first verse as Take Me Back to Eden in it's last verse)

just wish I had your command over music theory. I have so much I want to say, but never devoted the time to develop my songwriting ability. It's a lot easier to squeeze in vocal and instrument practice than having larger chunks of time to create melodies.
