What a great, heart-warming spoof you pulled! Great surprise and nice to see some great friendship between hunters.
That was fantastic on how your surprised your hunting partner. LOL Great hunt.
He was very surprised.
I appreciated this episode when I was preparing for my first turkey hunt, but I appreciate it even more now that I've been on my first turkey hunt. It's definitely more challenging than so many videos make it look! I love that this is a real life depiction of turkey hunting.
You guys do awesome work.
I am the world's worst turkey hunter and I guess I just had to show it. Thanks for watching.
God Bless. I have been there on several eastern Montana Spring Turkey hunts.
It's interesting that you had turkey hunting explained to you as elk hunting in may. I'm from Minnesota and have hunted turkeys a lot but when I ask what elk hunting is like they tell me its like turkey hunting in the high country haha
It's a good thing I'm a better elk hunter than I am a turkey hunter.
The turkey hunting there is tough. My boy is ten and has got 3jakes and 2 toms so far. He missed one his first fall but got two his first spring and one every season since. I think I just found the one thing that CA has that is better than other places. We don’t have shit else and It sure ain’t the social climate!
Randy, you need to come join me in the Gila at the end of April for turkey! Hunting the wilderness area is unbelievable.
Zachary Cooper I drew in unit 2 ever hunt turkey there? Any tips you can give me? It'll be my first turkey hunt ever it even sure of the location to be honest
I've only hunted deer in the 2's and I haven't seen any turkeys there! sorry I couldn't help
Love the video! Hard work, the lessons learned cannot be beaten.
Veteran turkey hunters will tell you soft call more than anything else. You’re pushing him away by being so loud.
I honestly didn’t want to see this hunt because I found turkey hunting “boring” but yet I to see now how tough it is and rewarding it is as well, hope I can have a hunt like this one day🙏🏽
Very impressive and much harder than hunting these birds here in the East! And you did this without your trekking poles. And the 12 GA Bennelli was the correct weapon choice.
🦃
Nope, no trekking poles.
you should come to PA, you can get an over the counter tag and hunt birds all of May, there are plenty of secret small pockets of public land and woods to chase big toms, I have watched you for a few years and you would love it. It isn't easy, but if you put in the time and work with a little experience and luck, you can be successful!!
+Randy Newberg, Hunter you should try turkey on public land in the Appalachians, I live in North Carolina and hunt the Pisgah National Forest and it is very exciting and takes a lot of hard work. BTW I'm moving to Bozeman in August.
We stick to western hunts, as that is what we have told our sponsors we will do. They are already spending on other platforms that do eastern or southeastern hunts. Hope you enjoy Bozeman.
Okay, I understand that. Trust me I'm so excited to be going to Bozeman, I will be attending Montana State University. I watch your videos everyday and have been doing lots of research on hunting the area. Maybe I'll run into you one day, I've learned more than you'll ever know from your videos.
Great hunt Randy, have you been on any turkey hunts since then?
Where in Montana was this hunt. I've always wanted to do a turkey hunt.
Colby Angove I live in Utah but how I found turkeys was just going to a lot of different spots fishing and hiking in spring and started to hear some, now I'm hooked on turkey hunting, so fun and exciting if you can find birds
Holy crap!!!! Randy is turkey hunting????
Just to prove to the world that I am the worst turkey hunter you will ever see.
nope... That's me... I've been hunting all week and only heard one bird, haven't seen anything...
Awesome! Devilish as well!!
My first and last effort to film a turkey hunt. I'm the world's worst turkey hunter.
The size of the brain doesn’t matter, the number of wrinkles on the brain is what matters so don’t feel bad because turkeys are very smart
Thanks for the comforts. I'm still a pretty pitiful turkey hunter.
Did I spy Leopold's Land Ethic in the wall tent with ya?
I suspect so. I've always bring some of his, Pinchot, Roosevelt, and Grinell with me when I am in camp. I've read most of them many times, but get something beneficial with each read. Thanks for watching.
come to tennessee and ill show you how to turkey hunt
How many pounds was the turkey
I have no idea.
he shoots @ 18:12
16:20 why is randy wearing a wetsuit..... XD
19:14
I am 8 and I say to my dad I wish I could shoot big game on my land
quit with belt buckle guy please!
your buddy calls to much n to loud n not a good enough with mouth call jmo
You think you are a bad turkey hunter, it took me ten years to get my first turkey. then tried to eat it and never hunted turkey again, and i live in the east!!!
I still think I'm the worst there is. My camera crew are serious hunters and both have killed their share of turkeys. Next season they intend to show me how it's done.
how can you say you are the worst , you were only following the worst, evidently. I think maybe you all were calling to long. I would say 3-5 yelps are all you should make at a time. maybe you would have better luck with the turkeys if you were bear hunting LOL. love you and your shows.
Weird how different hunting this bird is in every state. I walk out of my house with my 500 on my shoulder, take a 10 minute walk down the train tracks and sit on the edge of a field.
I'm the worst turkey hunter in America, so don't judge MT turkey hunting by my results. Thanks for watching.
Randy Newberg, Hunter More luck than most I know, and you're definitely more dedicated than anyone I've seen.
Randy Newberg, Hunter go to Nebraska
