It seems to be a common trend these days, to just use an entire sound effect catalog and meme clips in shorts, everything overlayed on top of each other to make it impossible to pay attention to.
That explains why it worked when my siblings and I pointed it at the sun. Not even joking here. We did that and thought it was so cool. Now I know why it worked.
When 10 y/o me accidentally pointed sister's camera on WiiBar and saw some strange dots, I walked to my dad and asked: "Why the Wii sensor have some strange dots only visible on camera? Why I can't see them with my eyes?" He asked smth like: "Let's go check it again, usually it's just an IR light, which is not visible to humans" When he checked it, he just sat for 5 minutes just trying to realise, that his whole life was a lie xD (He bought Wii for himself in first place, so he was playing it almost every evening for several hours)
I just hooked up my Wii U to my Sony Bravia after years of not even turning on the console and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my sensor bar/wii pointer. I tried everything, new batteries, different wii remotes, disconnecting/reconnecting sensor bar, making sure the infrared lights showed up when using my phone’s camera, etc. And nothing I was doing was fixing how jank/out of whack the pointer was! I went into the system settings and adjusted the wii remote pointer sensitivity too! Turns out, I didn’t have game mode turned on on my TV’s picture settings, and once I turned it on, it fixed how out of sync/laggy the Wii remote pointer was! 👍🏼
People literally were talking about this on RUclips the day the Wii dropped. I remember people using candles to play their Wii almost instantly after release.
I had no clue about this beforehand, but twenty seconds of looking at the sensor bar and its skinny cord were enough to figure out that it wasn't a sensor itself, but a target.
I think he's just bad at "making the words go." What he means to say is that the sensor bar does _no sensing,_ it's more like a lighthouse or something. Your Wiimote was the sensor bar the whole time. The thing is... anyone who rĕad the instructions (a small percentage, but still) already knew that. It literally tells you that it shines the lights for your Wiimote to see.
I somehow lost my Wii Sensor Bar, but I had just gotten out my Wii and had already bought an HDMI adapter and was super hyped to homebrew it, so I ended up booting up Game Maker Garage, found 2 Joy-Cons (I use the Hori Split Pad Normally), and making a simple program to have the Joy-Cons constantly use their IR blasters. Honestly, the biggest issue was juggling them around to keep both the Joy-Cons charged. But I made it through and now have a homebrewed Wii.
To answer the question you posted an opener of this video, I'd call you a damn liar. It has a function and you described that function. This isn't a problem, the pointing function of the wiimote was actually excellent. Sure it's funny that you can use other things as poor replacements for it, but this is truly depressing clickbait.
i was aware the bar was not essential to be connected to the wii, so i bought a usb bar i connected to the wall, but if i knew wii u gamepad worked as well i wouldnt have done it, bro thats insane
i mean ive some how had a wii remote work from another room, not even pointing at the sensor bar or anything that would work as one, and the hand showed up on the screen
Sometimes i forget to hook mine up when i play my modded Wii. To get to Nintendont, ill whip out my lighter and use it to get the Wiimote cursor where i need it to be.
The bar needs to be powered to emit the light. When it is not plugged in, the lights are off. If you're one for science experiments you could try powering the wii sensor bar with a potato or a lemon
We had our sensor bar that only one side worked so we put a candle on one side it worked for awhile until we forgot to blow the candle out and got a divet in the top of the tv and the sensor bar melted too but started working like it was supposed to again 😂😂😂
Hmmm, interesting. It would seem that Cdot didn't like the original short and wanted to change one thing, so he took down the short and remade it. Very Kingdom
i fucking love how the joycon has a sensor that was used exclusively for one game in 1-2-switch
Chad behaviour.
I think it's used in the newer game Warioware Move It.
But yes, it's extremely underutilized.
It was also used for Nintendo labo
It really should get more use, just imagine the possibilities an IR Sensor could bring, more than what the Wiimote's sensor did
Dear god this short is sensory overload, the music being basically the same volume as all the edited meme sounds is too much
Too many sensors
I agree wholeheartedly
I thought it was just me. I think he should raise the vocals or lower everything else
THANK YOU. i hate this genre of video so much
Yes thank you! These guy keeps showing ip on my feed and i absolutely hate how many edits he puts in
Jesus fucking christ dude, did you drop your entire sound effects folder into the time line?
All of this guy's shorts are like this.
It seems to be a common trend these days, to just use an entire sound effect catalog and meme clips in shorts, everything overlayed on top of each other to make it impossible to pay attention to.
“The sensor bar isn’t needed-“
ALRIGHT WE GET IT ALREADY
That explains why it worked when my siblings and I pointed it at the sun. Not even joking here. We did that and thought it was so cool. Now I know why it worked.
You learn something everyday
Once my family accidentally used ANOTHER WII REMOTE as a sensor bar
When 10 y/o me accidentally pointed sister's camera on WiiBar and saw some strange dots, I walked to my dad and asked: "Why the Wii sensor have some strange dots only visible on camera? Why I can't see them with my eyes?"
He asked smth like: "Let's go check it again, usually it's just an IR light, which is not visible to humans"

Can you turn the music up, I can almost hear the video
"useless like me" 💀
great info, gonna use a magnifying glass and play outdoors

You sound way too enthusiastic for such basic trivia
This has been common knowledge for probably 5 years now.
Make it about 20 years.

I had no clue about this beforehand, but twenty seconds of looking at the sensor bar and its skinny cord were enough to figure out that it wasn't a sensor itself, but a target.
I think the music needs to be louder
Learned this a while back, it explains why the Wiimote went nuts when I pointed it out the window
One thing you colud use is 2 candles
He literally js mentioned dawg
People who have already watched this two times 🗿
Yeah, is it just a reupload? Does anyone know?
@@jsproductions8569 he had an issue with it so deleted it and uploaded it today
I think so he sent a message saying there was like a glitch or something like that
Firefly Really Just Said “Orbital Strike”
You could also use a wireless sensor bar as that uses batteries to power ir leds it’s just amazing that even candles also work
It’s not useless if it does exactly what it’s designed for. That’s like saying your car is useless because bikes, buses and trains exist.
A few years ago I spent like $8 on a cheap usb sensor bar and I still use it 😂
“The sensor bar is useless”
“The sensor bar provides the lights that are used by the remote”
Well which is it?
Your remote was the sensor bar all along!
I think he's just bad at "making the words go." What he means to say is that the sensor bar does _no sensing,_ it's more like a lighthouse or something. The way this guy edits, like if we were stupid toddlers
Bro just wanted to flex his mirror
You know where he got it?
Sunshine airport in the background gives a good vibe
You can use 2 candles to replace the sensor bar
i was aware the bar was not essential to be connected to the wii, so i bought a usb bar i connected to the wall, but if i knew wii u gamepad worked as well i wouldnt have done it, bro thats insane
Dear Nintendo , please just bring the Wii notes back
That background music is from Mariokart Sunshine Airport
the joy con is an ir camera but it also contains the ir blaster, so it works on its own
When my sensor bar broke. I would just use tea light candles sitting on top of the tv
I saw someone made a huge version to Wii Bowl in a movie theater.
I used candles once bc my sensor broke and they work perfectly, but there are two inconveniences:
1- They melt
2-You can burn your tv
What if I told you, that the music is too loud?
This is also how they sell wireless sensor bars that don't connect to the console in any way.
I didn't even know the Wii needed a senser, I never used one when playing on my old wii
i remember playing the wii for month before realising i didn't put the sensor bar and i was so confused on how it still worked (was so glitchy though)
Everyone else used candles
This is probably the worst short to be recommended to me when im sick, my head is in absolute agony
So it's not useless you either have to burn candles which as a finite use or have a Wii U pad?
You can also use candles
I usually used my living room window which for some reason had perfect tracking, I don't understand at all
Quest controllers finna be lit 🔥🔥
i mean ive some how had a wii remote work from another room, not even pointing at the sensor bar or anything that would work as one, and the hand showed up on the screen
The millisecond of the Berserk theme :,(
Dude how much music do you have to put into your youtube shorts. I couldnt finish watching it
We already knew this.
Had to use two candles when playing Mario party with my brother and his wife, worked surprisingly well
the Wii remote will also work with normal lights, I pointed it at a chandelier and the pointer appeared on screen
I saw that skylanders appearance for 1 second and I love it
I used candles too thats crazy
the competing audio in this video was terrible
Or use two candles. I did that when my poor shambled Wii and my very bad messy attitude got my Wii sensor lost when I was 5 😭
Sometimes i forget to hook mine up when i play my modded Wii. To get to Nintendont, ill whip out my lighter and use it to get the Wiimote cursor where i need it to be.
The sensor bar still fucked with tracking if it fell
Once i pointed at the window and the wii remote started responding to the sun
Then why does it not work if i dont have the bar pluged in?
The bar needs to be powered to emit the light. When it is not plugged in, the lights are off. If you're one for science experiments you could try powering the wii sensor bar with a potato or a lemon
@@fearwithab6844 OP is contesting the "The Sensor Bar is completely useless" line at the start of the video.
@@sethb3090 i like explaining how things work :,(
My fav is to use candles
OH MY GOD US THAT SKYLANDERS ON WII SHOW ME YOUR COLLECTION
WE NEED A COLLECTION VID
aaaa my brain
the editing and sfx are so overcooked
We had our sensor bar that only one side worked so we put a candle on one side it worked for awhile until we forgot to blow the candle out and got a divet in the top of the tv and the sensor bar melted too but started working like it was supposed to again 😂😂😂

@@rtchara618 Ah, I haven't looked at CPs in a while. Thanks
Why does every RUclips short see it fit to bombard their audience with 4 different songs all at once?
Alternative and underrated method: Use the sun☀️
Omg this is so useful to me (my sensor has stoped working on my WiiU)
In theory could you use to joycins with the inferred sensors as a sensor bar
Maybe turn the music and sound effects s lil louder i can still hear you
I lit two candles and it worked, i was accused of witchcraft by my family
Whole video pretty much explains why it's not completely useless.
My favorite setup is two candles
As long as you're good in the bed, you're good with everything else.
My favorite is two of the same flashlight
My family used candles lol
Just use two candles Those one you put in pumpkin And For some Reason it work As a Wii Scanner
Funny thing me and my family tried You can actually just use 2 lit candles that are spaced far enough apart.
he basically said that
I just bought a third party wireless sensor bar. .-.
What are these situations he cannot specify I wonder
Having alternatives isn't the same as being completely useless.
I still don't know what the sensor bar is supposed to do
It's a light that cameras in the wiimotes pick up to figure out where they're pointed.
2 candles works too
You also can use 2 candles
I wanna see someone play the Wii by laying the remote in front of the tv and moving the sensor bar.
I can't hear what your are saying with the music
If your Gamepad is turned on, you can just use it
What if I told you the sensor bar is completely useful and using anything else is silly and just get a replacement.
SINCE WHEN DID THE LUIGI WIIMOTE EXIST
nice audio mixing 🫥
Nah the best replacement is the sun
What if you use a switch controller on a Wii?
i tried candles and they do not work well at all
Then why is it supposed to be connected Toen the Wii U?
Because...
IT ISNT!!🎉🎉
The most useless Wii hardware award goes to:
*The Wii Sensor Bar*
But what if you... DID specify here?
Yeah but a censor bar is way more accurate
I literally used it on the lightbulbs in the room and it worked
Might not work anymore, since most lights these days are LEDs
I used 2 candles for it lmao
Its weird but i can see the light
Song name?
