Walking Hadrians Wall....Not quite Sycamore Gap

A rather un glorious weekend spent on Hadrians Wall, walking between Carlisle and Wallsend in Newcastle.
It tipped down with rain all weekend...the net result was we bailed out (literally) to dry out just before Sycamore Gap. and this was the week before the tree was so tragically cut down....
The benefit was a fantastic cup of tea and chocolate cake at Once Brewed Hostel and the visitor centre is fabulous. Great information centre, shop, canteen and YHA facilities with conference centre for hire if you ever need it. I may just look into this as an away day team building location for the future with the team at work. On this particular day I just needed a heater, warmth and a cup of tea.
