I love information like this that further confirms my belief in the power of meditation and our power choose. I’ve used meditation to essentially rewire my brain to fire new neural pathways and form new connections that I WANT to fire and wire instead of it being based on my environment. It’s so fun to watch what my brain is physically doing as I’m meditating.

Not really - it's simply a mathematical representation of a physical phenomenon. If it has any predictive power then it can become a useful theory. The brain is a physical system, just like any other. So it can and will be described mathematically. This is a first step, yes.

not necessarily, look for Gödel's incompleteness theorems, there is no math today that can describe the brain by far, even consciousness cannot be explained by the current physical fundamental model.
prettend that we know more than we know is a very unhealthy pattern in science, neuroscience is as far to know the problem of consciousness as archimedes was able to know the basis of electromagnetism, maybe in 500 years luckily, consciousness is maybe one of the grates (if not the greatest) mystery of all time

Problem is without oxygen n blood flow n nutrients brain tissue is the first thing to fall apart, apparently uses 20% of the body's total caloric energy just to function, the only way you're going to see much of anything is to see it happen, preserved tissues can only do so much..... unless you were to hack open a skull and very very quickly.... slice up a brain and get it into some kind of oxygen rich blood filled mechanism you probably wont ever see whats really going on, aside from directly looking at the brain while living intact....

The fact anyone can state there is no creator, blow my MIND. LOL. This level of complex design is far beyond happenstance! The big question will always remain though. HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN? Hurt to even think about. Our brain structure is near infinitely complex. Or, maybe more accurate to state now, it actually is infinitely complex. Perhaps, there are no limits to our brain function. Higher IQ people just have more access to more 'lanes' of data then lower IQ. Compare it to PCIE version 1 vs version 4. The bus widths are infinite, but many are running on 8 bit still. :)

He guides us with little nudges. God knows all things - past, present and future - so from God's point of view, nothing is a surprise. you have to study the Duality: 1. did living structures arise from non-living structures?
      2. did life came to be, randomly?
      3. does life has a purpose, or is it purposeless?
      4. if you reply to my comment, will it be because you chose to, or because you couldn't do anything about it?
      5. if you don't reply to my comment, will it be because you chose to, or because you couldn't do anything about it?
      1. If living structures arose from non-living structures, then that's like painting with red color, and getting a green painting. something out of nothing. you have 69 grams of coke, and from that 69 grams of coke, an extra 1 gram of cocoa, arises.
      2. if life came to be, randomly, isn't it amazing how the quasi-infinite processes in your body, are stubbornly non-random, each and every one of them, conspiring to keep your body alive, body that refuses to randomly die, and return to the non-living state its constituent matter originally was in?
      3. if life doesn't have a purpose, isn't it amazing how you keep turning up at your job, do whatever you do there, and get your salary, to survive, day after day, as the thought of death terrorize you, and you simply don't want to die?
      4. are you going to reply to my comment, or what? I really have no idea if you're going to reply or not.

AI will be better in discovering hidden patterns of brain activity

How does the brain react to a personal attachment say for instance orbs or ghosts attaching their self to your mind how can I mind ignore that what's the secret to that sauce well I could tell you half of it make sure you don't have much feelings LOL

Dear Mr and Mrs Scientist, One day when you find out that the brain is simply a step down, step up transformer for activity from the real being who is just using the body for a life, you will start to begin to realise that a human is not their body. The human brain takes the signals from the 5 senses, and uploads it to the real being in order to experience the physical world...There is no death, the body just runs out and is discarded when it is no longer useful, and it has done it's temporary job. Consciousness continues and consciousness evolution is the real purpose of life.

I agree that consciousness continues, but that doesn't mean that any new theories to explain it are automatically false.

agreed, but it IS definitely about time we finally explore the brain's power, by exploring the brain's work. So I think there's still a LOT to do and I am quite excited about it. Let's start changing the world by saving the children

As if we were entities experiencing "life" on a organic mecha body? ¿What's the point of that though? ¿Why go through the hassle of experimenting a human life?

Yawn. Your description leaves out the fact that doing science is part of that. A science person is just as entitled as a condescending manipulative religious type to experience this world in a different way. Maybe they in fact creating a new set of experiences for lazy beings like you to use just like you are using a computer or smartphone now instead of dealing with disease and starvation while making tedious repetitive moral judgements. Maybe in their last life they got bored of being focused on spiritual vanity.

puff as in the multi dimensional structure is destroyed i suppose to allow for further shapes of consideration to emerge

I am hardly an expert, but she was talking about a field of math's called algebraic topology to create a diagram consisting of a series of vertices and vectors. each node represents a single spiking neuron, while the vectors represent direction of the signals and the direction of it's propagation. She believes her data may indicate that when the brain comes to a decision the shapes and structures generated by the neurons while the brain is thinking by using the model of algebraic topology, collapses when the brain comes to a decision.

So it's just a theory, not fact, of no value whatsoever.
