One setting I would like to know if there is one is being able to disable one or both of your internal drives. I like having a clean work drive for work and a drive for just BSing on. I have a Dell G5 15 that does that beautifully in the bios. My next laptop I want that option, but it is hard to find a place to just fool with multiple bios til you find the right one.

No, but..there MAY be a setting for enabling/disabling NVME slots, OR restricting PCIE lane use. Is it a SATA drive or nvme? This would be easy to implement in BIOS..strange request though. Are you familar with the term 'Virtual Machine?' You don't need 2 installs to do what you're doing
in the Advanced->System Agent (SA)->Memory Configuration.
I want to change the maximum speed of my ram which are set by default at 2.3 GHtz when the maximum speed is 4.8, but I can't find anything that will allow me to do this. Do you have an idea?

Hey I have a msi laptop 11th gen I have the GPU for gaming but I dont know what the letters in the BIOS menu mean for me to set it as its default do you know ????

The fastest way to just boot straight to advanced start up. Just go to restart you PC and hold shift while you hit restart. It will boot straight the the advanced startup. Less complicated for some who are less tech savvy. Overall good video! I feel there should be alot more of these talking about more of its features and how you can use them. Thanks for making this much appreciated

@obscure8643 no while in the operating system. Hit the start in the bottom and restart clicking with the mouse while holding shift.

@@rickstechrepairs lol i already did it, set it to peg, pci, auto, nothing worked. i got black screen each time.
my pc was working, screen was not.
i experimented, i found that pressing holding shift key and turning on power button reset my bios to default.
at first i feared, but now im a black screen expert.. 😅
i also tried to disable intel hardware, it made computer fast, premiere pro fast, but games where not running on gpu. (even though games were using gpu of 70%, still they are on 10 fps)
done lot of experiments today.. im back to default bios use again 🤐

Pero el TEMA es que cada tanto jugando se me pone la pantalla negra tipo un crash y debo reiniciar con el.boton de inicio, me imagino que es por el overclock pero que poco que sube o estoy haciendo algo mal ??
En la bios veo que existe algo de usuario equilibrado y usuario performance o algo así de defecto esra en equilibrado no toque nada de nada
en vez de hacerlo tu mismo, puedes elegir los predeterminados por MSI y no te dara error. Si quieres mas potencia utiliza el usuario performance pero ponlo en balanceado cuando no estes jugando sino el ventilador hara mucho ruido. Si tienes MSI dragon centre puedes hacer muchas cosas desde ahi sin entrar el BIOS pero si sabes de ordenadores etc es mejor hacerlo desde el BIOS porque te deja hacer mas cosas y personalizarlo a tu gusto en vez de elegir los perfiles predeteminados por MSI. Im having this same issue, i cant seem to activate my rtx 4050, the conputer automatically chooses the integrated intel graphics...
I wouldn't recommend adjusting that setting

i followed how u set the bios up and go save and exit. ive try Save Changes and Reset , Discard Changes and Exit , Load Optimized Defaults , clicking the cross button in right upward corner , and esc .
