So niche but so brilliant. Of course the genius of this is that Nobuo Uematsu was hugely inspired by prog rock , so hearing it in this font just makes so much sense and almost sounds like tracks from the original FF7 OST.
thanks! the midi file has all the composition laid out so what i do is reassign the instruments used in each track with the sounds and instruments from ff7 and then export them separately to mix the audio in premiere when i add the custom album artwork. it's really cool choosing which instruments make the song sound more like a ff7 track
@@stapidomcazfaikeurmom4935 link is in the description, but if you ever want to make a midi out of a song that has tabs in songsterr there's a way to do that too, using a software called Tuxguitar
This song has so much since its one of the first songs I sorta tripped too. To hear it in this sound is phenomenal. God bless you for making this a reality
LOL that's genius, I used to convert midis to chiptune similarly. Going after prog and ff soundfonts is a POWER play!! I'm no head but this is probably my favorite album in the genre
Funnily enough, there is actual morse code in the original recording played by Wakeman during the 'Crossed the line around the changes of the summer' part, which would be at 4:35. You can hear it here too. Not sure what it's supposed to spell out, though I once read that it is spelling out 'Abraxas' apparantly.

Wow, you've combined two of my favourite things, nice :)

I LOVE PROGRESSIVE ROCK AND FF7, YOURE SO COOL FOR THIS ACTUALLY
this is the greatest music channel on youtube.
Wow, just wow. How much work was this, it's like note for note pretty much perfect (or at least not noticably lacking in any way). You rock dude!

@@Seabass_Fiction Wow wait where did you find a midi file for this?
@@Seabass_Fiction I really want to say the whole piece played out, I had no idea a midi was out there.

@@Seabass_Fiction oh I'll have to check it out. Sorry for waisting your time by not checking the description first. Have a nice day!
Your rendition of Wakeman's solo part is nothing short of fantastic!
Bros this is amazing, I wouldn't think anyone would know about close to the edge after almost 50 years
Also ik I'm commenting a bunch but Siberian Khatru is my favorite Yes song so i hope you cover that in the future!

Well done, my friend. This is fantastic, Yes are one of my favorite bands and FF 7 is my favorite Final Fantasy. I subbed!
Thanks!
It's pretty cool that this is also almost the same length as the original.

This is really amazing! I’ve never seen a sound font-ed song be as perfect as this.
I’ve waited 15 years for this
Best thing ever?
i agree
Target audience reached. 👌😂
I appreciate the Chocobo
shoutout to deez nuts (also this midi is f*cking awesome i've had it saved for months)
The target audience for this is so narrow
Yes please share lol
I feel like this is trying to send me morce code
