Thanks!
Thanks! Got the Jax to avoid the smelly stuff! Looks like it will work well 😊
Great! Good luck and let me know how it goes.
Instead of steel wool, I use a fiberglass brush, it works much more delicately and allows you to get more control over the process...
love it, if i dont like the blackening its it easy to get it back to its original form? like could u get that necklace. back to shinning silver?
I want to use jax blackener to darken a silver snake chain necklace only slightly. just enough to make it look dull. since it darkens metal so quickly, would diluting the solution slow the darkening process?
Will the blacken silver naturally rub off on skin or clothes?
And if I had a natural gemstone rosary made with sterling chain. Could the natural stone beads react badly if I dip the whole rosary in this blackening stuff do you think?
What makes the patina turn out grey? I have this problem... :\
love your Technique.
Thanks for sharing.. now all i need IS TO FIND 0000 Steel wool.
BTW. you're a sweet beautiful lady.
Hi Bentley GT, thank you for the nice compliments.
You're not limited to using 0000 wool which can be found at your local Walmart. You can try experimenting with different grades of steel wool as they will give you slightly more detail to the brushing. Just don't use the ones with soap! :)
another great Tip.
thanks again..
BENTLEY GT Thank you very much, we're glad you enjoyed the video!
