After reading the chapter "The lost spring".. I was very curious to know about the process of making Bangal.. n the makers ... It really satisfie me ... ☺️..
I am a private teacher. After teaching the lost spring to my students there was a sad feeling for my people from firozabad. I wish I had sufficient money to teach those children who belongs such poverty So that they can bright their future. This surprised me very much that government does not do anything for their uplifting. I salute the writter of the lesson who launched this terrific problem publicly.
Being myself from Firozabad,I could say that Bangle making is really huge here..but things are getting better children are moving towards other sectors and parents are concerned about educating their child..
I have a chapter in my English book about this drastic condition of the workers of bangle factory..so I searched it and to my astronishment each and every line in that chapter was true.. Salute to u guys..great job..and some people are so casually breaking bangles for even the slightest anger that they have in their day to day life.. So disheartening 💔
Today I read my class 12 chapter called the lost spring where I read about these bangle makers and I feel very bad for them.. I used to feel bad and complain about different things but my problems are nothing infront of these people .Even the young children don't get opportunity to go to school . They lose their eyesight by doing all these things . It's only proverty that condemm them to do this. I really wish that if someone can make these people understand that they can change their lives if they send their children to school and if they can run their own shops for selling bangles as these bangles are quite costly but they don't get the right amount of their hardwork because of the middle mans. I wish if I were in Firozabad to make them understand the facts.
I am also here after reading about these poor bangle makers of firozabad in 2nd chapter of class 12th - Lost Spring. Really Central and state governments must do justice with these peoples , at least create an environment where the upcoming generations of these bangle makers can study... Feeling so overwhelmed after knowing the severe condition of these peoples.
@@karanmalik1092 yes you right the gov. Should do something for these people as soon as possible .I really don't know what the UP government is doing till now though they know very well about the condition of these people but they have done nothing for these people .' What the need of government if it can't provide justice to its people.'
@@parishmitasahariah709 I can only hope for the betterment of their future . People are so busy in their lives that these peoples doesn't consider banglemakers as a part of society . Also , the government also doesn't want to spend money on betterment of future of bangle makers as government has a mentality that it will not produce any fruitful results.
@@karanmalik1092 yes I can also hope for the best ! But I really wish that Akshat Jain (2018 UPSC 2nd topper ) , Era Singhal mam or someone like them get posting in UP as an IAS officer. And I have strong feeling that if they come to know about the harsh conditions of bangle makers than they will definitely bring a change , specially they will spread education among them as they wants to do something in the education field .
@@parishmitasahariah709 Definitely , if they were given chance they would surely help in improving the condition of these banglemakers . But at first , they have to change the mentality of the parents or elder people engaged in this business that this is not the only thing that they can so many things professional things to do and they can achieve so many things in their lives in this present world . Then only the childrens like Mukesh ( who wants to be a motor mechanic ) will be able to do what they really wants to do :)
My English teacher played this video in the class. Of course the chapter was The Lost Spring. It's so sad that they do so much of hard work but still are living life of misery. When I will be financially independent. I will surely do something for them
We complain of so many things and sometimes we don't even realise that such things take so much of hard work. They are real artist working in such extreme conditions.
Facts: 1. Most of the children of these workers go to school, i always communicate with these workers they says that they don't want their children to go through this profession. 2. There are very few whose eyesight actually got affected also work practices and technology changed from the past 3. workers who are on 1 day contract and paid daily got no leaves because they are not the employee, those who are enployee and take salary on a monthly basis got leaves on all major festivals. 4. Every factory have first aid box for minor injuries and if there is any major injury then the worker's will be sent to hospital and whole treatment will be provided to him and paid by the factory owner. 5. Bangles are not costly, third party seller sell them at a very high cost usually these bangles get distributed to all over india and prices as usually 2 to 3 times what they bought from firozabad.
I am not here after reading any books but only for the love of bangles. I really feel for these people and that so much hardwork and patience go in to make them for which they get wages like peanuts with no safety. I always felt beautiful wearing bangles but eversince i knew how it is being made i wear them with gratitude . These people must be paid well, i hope there should have been ways where we customers directly pay to these poor people instead of the shop owner who usually profits more.

Their eyes are more adjusted to the dark than to the light outside that is why they often end up losing their eyesight before they become adults . 🥺
