Good question bro. You have asked about company not just policy. HDFC do less scrutiny during claims therefore creates less problems. Rest both are private companies and experience may vary for each individual. Star offer more choices in policy but claim payment attract more scrutiny. Hope it helps

You missed one detail in Optima secure. There is copayment for first claim per year in optima secure for 25k or 50k or 1 lac, more the amount lesser the policy premium which looks kind of compromise
That is called deductible. You can chose the deductible amount and higher the deductible lesser will be premium. As this is an optional cover and not a good term that’s y I did not include. This should not be opted as 80% of claims are up to 1 lakh. Now suppose you chose 25k deductible. You have to pay 25k of 1 lakh claim. Which is too much. Therefore these deductible should not be opted.
Hello, If any person get diagnosed with any disease like thyroid or diabetes after 1 year of policy issuance then what happens? Do we need to inform to company for it?
Dear sir/mam. However it is not mandatory as per your policy terms and conditions but telling your insurance company is always better for hassle free claim experience.
In restore there is no room capping, and one can choose any room . Also what is better restore or secure ...as in restore premium remains same for 5 years but in secure it increases every year
Hi, in HDFC optima secure whether they increase premium enormous or it's stable for the age slab? 5-6% would be ok. I am planning to shift from an existing health suraksha silver plan of 3L SA to optima secure with 5L SA.I am at 51. Existing premium shoot up direct from 15k to 25k with no restoration. Hence better to shift to the restoration plan of 5L instead of taking Top up to the existing plan. Premium will be nearly the same as if taken top up. You can migrate to secure plan. Premium May be increasing due to change of age slabs. Moreover insurance companies also revise premium based on medical inflation and overall claim experience of particular policy.
