I would like to see a video talking about more casual suits: corduroy, linen, cotton, flannel suits... I believe that the traditional wool suits are perceived way too formal for my business place and I would like to play more with fabrics and colors. Thank you for excellent content.
Future video suggestions: 1)Dressing down(gentleman style) for chores or errands. 2)A closet tour of how you organize and store your clothing would be awesome. 3) Outfit inspirations from different decades, I know it sounds like a gimmicky concept but I think considering you do advocate for buying vintage pieces, it could be a cool video. Thanks :) Also: I appreciate all the b-roll, especially new shots, it really ups the quality
For Chores and errands (Being an aspiring blue collar worker), wear buttoned work shirts (Dickies Still sells'em), Jeans (I'm old school jeans are for work) or Khaki Work pants, depending on the work. For dirty work, I recommend coveralls. Shoes I'd recommend work boots or shoes, that can take a little bit of a beating.
Gentlemen, blue and grey is my absolute favourite combination, whenever I am not in a suit - it is visually appealing and I spice it up with colourful accessories. Thank you for these videos.
I love blue and grey so much it contrasts well with my skin tone hair and eyes and it matches all my shoes and accessories. It basically makes up 85% of my wardrobe
Blue and grey is my favorite color combination! I especially love a navy blazer and light blue shirt (with brown patterned tie and off-white pocket square) paired with medium to charcoal grey trousers or for a casual look a light grey turtleneck and navy blue chinos! I have been waiting for this video for a while now and I am well pleased with it, thank you Preston and Gentleman's Gazette!
Great pieces to own and have fun pairing for sure. Gray, blue, and brown get so much rotation because they pair with so much and enable other pieces to be more adventurous. Gray and blue shoes are definitely harder to pull off and may not see as much wear.
Preston, I'm a bit curious, in your gray suit with the navy pocket square, is that the navy silk pocket square from the Kingsman line by Drake's? The one with the white contrast edge?
Really interested on what you feel would be appropriate to wear for Church especially here in AZ where it tends to get hot. I know it's not a subject everyone is open to so if you are uncomfortable with the topic there are absolutely no worries as I could just google it on my free time. Although personally during the cooler months I'll go for sweaters, dress shirts, and a few slacks planning on adding a few sport coats later on and maybe someday investing in a linen or fresco suit for the hotter months all the best to you all!
I'm still waiting for the "How to wear and pair Dark Red" AKA Burgundy, Maroon and Wine vid. I love dark red colours like that. I already have several items including ties, pocket squares, a waistcoat, a bomber jacket, sweaters, a velvet sports coat, and I even have Oxblood shoes with a matching belt. I like to think I wear and pair them just fine. But more ideas to incorporate are always good.
This was a great video. As a suggestion I would like to see a video about pattern combining/sizing. I learned about it from this channel, but it was just a minor comment in a video. I would like to see more on that topic. Thanks
Now this is useful and good content, I know these are hard times got the GG but we are strong and we need our advice! Personally you hit the spot with this video, again yet another gem from GG!
This is a great video! I agree that blue and gray are staples in any classic men's wardrobe. However, the clip suspenders at the end of the video have to go. Thank you again, cheers.
i look forward to one day being able to wear a suit! my place in the pyramid of society hasnt yet got me to that point.i will get there eventually! good video keep up the content!
Greetings from Germany.I have to say , i realy like youre chanel and work . You and your frends are very Charismatic. Your videos always have realy nice and intressting topics , so keep it up!
I agree with what you said and they do have great topics and I see being talked into a business deal by them, in my opinion Rafael can rock a double breasted. Nur für den Fall, dass Sie nicht zu viel Englisch lesen, habe ich dies hinzugefügt. Ich stimme dem sehr zu und finde die Themen interessant. Meiner Meinung nach kann Rafael einen Zweireiher rocken!
I would like to see a Video on what you guys think of online tailoring. Especially now during quarantine times. An Opinion on online tailoring Companies like I-Tailor or suitsupply would be very interesting.
The real key about contrast is to match the contrast in the suit to the contrast of your own face. EG. If you've got very dark hair and pale skin, or very dark skin and strikingly pale teeth or eyes, then you're high contrast, so a high contrast outfit isn't going to look harsh on you. However, if you've got similarly toned hair, skin and eyes -- low contrast -- then you need a suit/tie/shirt combo that is, similarly, low-contrast with itself -- because vivid colours and high-contrast are going to be too visually 'loud', steal focus and wash you out.
so i got this lightly textured mid-grey suit that has black lapel and black around the pocket can i just wear a blue tie if im wearing it with a light blue shirt? got any recommendations for tie pairings when the lapel is different color? thx in advance
. Can you please help me. I have heard from growing up that a blue suit is 'down market' apparently. and you should wear brown shoes with black/grey/blue etc (only with tweed)? So is this out dated I think.
Personally, I think brown harmonizes best with colors like blue, grey, tan, beige, etc. I personally wouldn't mix brown and black unless, for example, it were a black shoe with light brown details, which makes the black of the shoe a little more casual imho. I know that there are gentlemen who can mix brown and black like you describe and pull it off, but I am not among them. Other than black, it honestly depends on the shade of brown in the shoe and the shade of the suit in question. As long as the shade of the brown shoe is slightly darker than that of the suit, you should be just fine in 99% of cases.
Those true blue oxfords and monk shoes are beautiful but I need them in womens. Men's shoes are more classy then women's shoes especialy the colors. Thanks
Sind hier deutsche Jugendliche, mit denen ich mich (m16) über sowas unterhalten kann?😊 bin bei mir in der Umgebung ebenfalls der Einzige, der sich so kleidet😅
The thing I hate about simplistic black, navy, and dark grey suits is how much they look like uniforms. They remind me of bank commercials and stock photos of late 20s white guys
I love all of these videos, but they are becoming way to self-referencial (see our video here...) I think these could be a little more succinct with just a few less of these, or maybe put them at the end of the video. It slows down the pacing a lot and as a viewer I find myself tuning out before a lot of the videos actually get to their core content.
nikhilsrl He has already stated that he has a mild form of cerebral palsy. This is outside his control. I think he does a wonderful job of carrying himself well despite it.
The colored shoe laces are probably the tackiest and most gimmicky things you have ever covered on this channel, and do not by any means belong in a man's wardrobe if he's going for classic style

Hi, could you make something from Versace and see if it's worth it? Would be really interesting to see :)

Interesting, I have a Grey and a Brown Fedora, but I have more Blue suits and Jackets so these videos help.
My most worn colour combo for work
Now this is interesting as I don't think blue and grey really "pop" together... Harmonious but dull. But I could reconsider.
Totally Disagree! That pale blue tie and grey suite at 4:39 looked really sharp. That model is pretty sharp looking too.

Is there a (historical?) reason for a light blue dress shirt being much more common than a light grey dress shirt in classic menswear?
