One of my favourite cars of the day. Putting down some impressive times, this Ford Granada was packing a twin turbo Chevy V8 of some description up-front.
If it's the one I think you're on about, I'm pretty certain it's not the infamous 1700bhp that was causing a stir around the internet a few years ago. I did over-hear someone's comment on the day that this was a 5 litre V8 Twin turbo (Think Koenigsegg use that lump originally). Don't know the power output, but the GTR next to it was apparently running 1100 to 1200 bhp.
Right! It does look like the same car though... if it's not, it's externally pretty much a clone, the only difference is the registration plates. It does clearly jump the start, but then the Nissan is at a huge advantage with 4WD on that uneven concrete runway... I'm amazed at the Ford's traction tbh, it just sits down and buggers off!
