WTF 😳, 47 ya tripp’n dude my dad & uncle are 50 & 54 & they are fit & are mad riders on their 450’s & 300 KTM they both have, they haul ass.. I know people that are 30 plus & are useless fat slobs & couldn’t ride a dirt bike if they tried LOL..
Back in the late 70's I visited my parents in Santa Maria California (from Florida) and we took my brother's Elsinore 250 out to the dunes by the beach. My brother was a pretty good rider but I had earned an AMA Expert License in both 250cc Motocross and 250/350cc Road Race as a teen boy so I had some pretty special talent. But I had never seen sand dunes in my life. I took a spill that came close to killing me...went off a jump at speed and the depth perception fooled me, I must have fallen several hundred feet and stuck the front wheel on the landing...just got lucky how i feel that all I had was a wretched back and very sore neck and a concussion. Gave me crazy respect for sand dunes.

(Out of business two years ago due to unpublished criminals in CA. They couldn’t afford to stay open.) But we used to have unbelievable awesome trips to Glamis from August to May all of the time. When I was 14 my family used to camp at Glamis. It was so long long ago that sometimes there would only be 20 or 30 people out there on the busy weekends. (Had a brand new 1969 Yamaha 125 Mini-Enduro that my parents bought to replace the Taco 22 I had completely wore out.)

You got to keep the rpms up and scream, slow fown and you sink. I rode in my racing days in fla dugar sand with 2 stokes. Fall off the pipe and sink. Never rode in the desert, probaly the dame thing but worst. When you put the petal to the metal the bikes fly. Looks like fun.

Looks like great fun I never was in CA. in the sand but tore it up in the mud of TX. & LA. for a long time bikes then in my latter years four wheelers. It all came to and end for me when I was 54 when a piece of crap pulled out of a known drug dealing apt. complex & stopped sideways in front of me & my Harly doing about 60 mph. Got busted up pretty bad now at 66 I don't ride anything but my memories. But hey it was fun while it lasted.
Glamis and all the carnage reminds me of MX vs ATV Reflex and that sand freeride track with all the different bikes n trophie trucks. If you know ya know🤣
