- The new Yak is so easy to build and is flying great! Because I shot this video before the manual was published, please always refer to the manual - I probably took some steps in the wrong order.
Flying characteristics are awesome! I prefer a "lighter" setup with 2s 350mAh batteries, for more aggressive flying i would go with 3s.

I don't know who this guy is but I wish I did. Just watching the video you can see he has a passion for RC planes.
Nice. Learned a tip from this video. Use a bit of carbon fiber rod to secure the servo extender arm onto the servo horn instead of heavy screws like the manual suggests.
Personally i prefer this method as the screws may crack the servo arm as they cut through. The weight advantage of carbon is just nice to have in my case.
A great video
@@colinsmith4699 thank you!
Is there a bill of materials link somewhere? I would like to get one of these, but I would like to order everything I need at one time, rather than discover that I am missing components that I need to complete the build. Thanks!
What's that tip your using on the thin ca? Looks like your keeping it cleaner than my build. Kavan CA? Watching you build makes want to build another one.
Use a little of thin CA first and if needed soak in more later. And the needle helps a lot too, without it i would make a lot of mess. And practise makes perfect. I have build a lot of these! So build another and i bet it will be cleaner than the last one.
@@jan_spatny thank you.
between 3:44 and 3:52 i was hoping to see how you put the screws in the little white plastic thing. i am trying for over an hour now to get the m1 thread on the screw
Do you mean the plastic servo arm and its extension - step 23 in the RC factory manual? I do not use screws but a bit of carbon rod. I glue it in with thin CA, works great :-)
Just getting back into RC. You don't use Welder Glue for EPP planes anymore?
Hey, I never used Welder as its not available in Europe. CA & Uhu por styro work just fine for me!
@@jan_spatny Oh, ok. CA is probably a bit quicker anyway! Thanks for the reply.
@@jaycoleman1862 It sure is but sometimes it is tricky to glue things in position you need. I recommend thin CA with needle and activator spay. This way you can position parts together, double check alignment and that apply CA with the needle into the gap. Requires a bit of skill but it has advantages (and disadvantages too to be fair).
Can I go on 3S 450mha with the stock combo?
Awesome, what battery size would you use for a 3S setup?
I would go with 3s300 to 3s 450mAh. Keep it light, these backyard planes are not ment to be heavy.
What's that spray you are using after you put on the glue?
CA Activator spray. It cures CA glue in seconds.
Hello my i ask witch glue/activator do you use?
Asome flying!
Wr,Henk
Sorry for the late reply... Lately I use KAVAN thin CA (with thin injection needle attached) and also KAVAN activator. Any quality CA will do in case you dont have KAVAN available in your favourite hobby shop.
Hello, what controller do yo use to fly your planes?
Hi, mostly JETI DS-12 and DS-24.
Hi,
I was wondering would this work with the t-motor bpp 4d combo ? 1850kv version?
hey, sure it would! But to fully enjoy 4D i would go with planes that have thrust vectoring.
@@jan_spatny I ordered the edge 580 pro
@@Euwanh85 Edge is a good choice!
If I buy the plane can I borrow your thumbs?
hahaha nope :D took me a while to train them! :D
@@jan_spatny Good Answer. LOL
