salut, si eu o sa fac ceva asemanator cu t61 meu..instalare ssd, upgrade ram la 4gb, upgrade procesor T8400, upgrade bios Middleton si win10. Daca n-ar tine bateria nu l-as mai upgrada, pacat de rezolutia ecranului 14.1 inch 1440x900. Ai idee daca merge pus un lcd cu o rezolutie mai buna?
@@UltimateDIY i finally got it to the bios menu but when I boot, it displays the message " Invalid memory configuration-Power off. and install a memory module to Slot-0 or. the lower slot." but when a put the ram stick in the lower slot nothing happens.. I checked that RAM slot and it has corrosion so Im sure that could be the problem.. Is there a way to make the bios skip that slot and use the other one as primary¿
If the bios is configured in such a way, I don't think you can do anything about it. Can you try to clean the corosion with contact cleaner and a brush?
@@UltimateDIY corrosion has already broken some of those little metal parts on the RAM socket so , i guess there is nothing i can do if there is no way to set the second socket as primary ohh I loved this laptop

Salut. Nu stiu nimic legat de imbunatatirea ecranului.
i have this one but it wont start.. i connect it with the charger and and the led "power on" is green but no image at all and the fan is not working
Try reinstalling the CPU and RAM. Maybe there is a bad contact somewhere.

Sadly, I don't think there is anything that can be done then.
I used to have this but had to retire it due to parts 🏃 out in Australia

Not worth if you have hdd ssds are very cheap and much better than hdd crap
A ssd would cost about half the price of this laptop 😄
