    Since my adolescence I have been listening to your music. as well as Patti Smith, or AC/DC and OZZY OSBORN. But when it's you and your voice, I'm transported to the beyond... and I start crying with joy. Of course: I'm French and I don't necessarily understand all your texts, even if I have English family, but that makes me HAPPY!!!

      Ok, but the band isn't there anymore, either. I bet that guitarist never heard J Tull before they hired him as 'filler'. Martin Barre must be laughing his head off...

    • @fortadelis
      @fortadelis Год назад +3

      @@luiznogueira1579 actually, somewhere around 2012 Martin and Ian split ways as Martin wanted to have his own project where he could compose his own thing, and Ian continued as JTull as a solo project of a kind. They mutually support and respect each other. I watched the concert in Ljubljana and a guitarist was excellent, he continued Martins legacy as he interpreted his riffs and solos with high fidelity, but he aslo put in his own character. The whole band was very tight.

    I've seen a lot of comments about Ian's voice on these recent tours, and I will admit, it is sometimes painful listening to him still trying to sing this in it's original key, when he clearly can't anymore. It really should be keyed down to D or something (something that won't have to push Ian's voice).

    The instruments sound amazing but sadly Ian just doesn't have the voice anymore. That's gotta be frustrating for the guy, it is what it is we all get old and fall apart. Like someone said maybe they need to change the key so it's not so hard for him to sing or something idk.

      So the question is how would you feel about a full time singer to replace Ian? Maybe Ian could sing a few songs in his current range and leave the remaining songs to the other singer?
      Foreigner got a replacement singer and he is awesome. Lou Graham just physically can't tour anymore. But the new version of the band rocks.

      @@locomotivebreath2831 personally I think it's also ok to just hang it up and call it quits and let the band just retire.. Like is there even any other remaining actual semi original members it in? To often they just keep dragging on. I am not up to date on their current material either but 99% of the time bands that are this many years in don't really release anymore interesting new music that anyone seems to care about anymore and their main driving fan base is dead or dying off with maybe a few new fans added here or there but nothing to sustain them. So like earlier in a bands career if they need to replace someone and everyone is good with it go ahead, but now just retire the who band and call it quits my opinion with no disrespect meant.

    This was hard to watch. Not only has Ian totally lost his voice, I could barely hear the flute. The guitarist was absolutely horrible, just on a different galaxy entirely from the great Martin Barre. This is not the Jethro Tull I grew up with, it's a pale shade of that amazing band. Maybe Ian should consider retiring at this point. He's a well established music legend, he doesn't need or deserve this.

    As much as I love Ian Anderson’s work and personality, that vocal performance was pitiful. 😭Unless this was a particularly bad day at work, they should really pull the plug now. A younger vocalist might work if Ian hangs around on flute (obviously!), on lower key backing vocals and as overall showman and conductor tying it all together on stage.
