Yup, me at level 4 found this very interesting. I swam to the secret tunnel, and managed to get the wyvern stuck inside of the hidden entrance area. Once I'm level 14+ I'm gonna go back there to finish the job!
I trapped the level 14 wyvern in a room in the lighthouse, then I spammed Quen everytime he hit me, and used to Moonblade sword to kill him. it took 10 minutes of fighting
@@kj-marslander I just want to add that I’m lvl 18 with the same sword and killed it in like 5 hits without using any signs so levels must mean a lot in this game lol
Edit: I should add that by that time I had fully maxed out the perks for increased damage for light and heavy attacks, but I mostly used heavy attacks with the shield sign up to get some free swings in

@@phildean6884 don't worry mate I felt the same thing, but after you finish the bloody baron quest you get to lvl 10 just but finishing the main quest.
Dont bother getting these until your'e atleast level 11 because:
1. You wont be able to equip it
2. You wont be able to afford to pay the blacksmith to make em

3 Reasons to get it:
1. It is very easy to get, took me about 10 minutes to get the whole set
2. You can always wait till level 11
3. Money you can do contracts and quests to get it.

If you're already lvl 11 the cost will very cheap, i already level 11 and I almost have 6000+ gold, it's better to get those diagram until you're level 11 to get strong enough (because in silver sword diagram location there's a wyvern level 14)
You can get bunch of money by contract, side quests, main quest, mini game (i prefer Gwen because it's fun too:v), bandit camp, selling useless stuff (not all useless but sometimes)
For the armor, there's a back entrance that you can use. All you have to do is use the medallion thing to interact with the illusion and you can basically skip all the enemies and grab the loot.

Was always a Skyrim guy, but after watching Witcher on Netflix I bought the game and I'm really having a blast the more time I spend playing it. This video is so helpful since I'm just starting out!
I always enjoyed the Witcher series more than Elder Scrolls. I like the adult themed nature of it lol

@@casualcookin3893 Skyrim absolutely blows pretty much any game out of the water because of its role playing aspects (character builds, creating your own character etc) but the Witcher absolute destroys Skyrim from a narrative perspective. Have to disagree about the Witcher being more fleshed out. Both have incredible universes that are ridiculously detailed.

Tip for newer players. The level of the Witcher Gear treasure hunts corresponds to the level requirement needed to use it. The crossbow is the exception and is leveled higher (if the set has one).
This is among the many tips that should have been included in this video.
Niilfgardian armor is also really good early on. I think it’s slightly worse in turns of stats, but it’s one of the best looking armors in the game. Highly suggest y’all check it out. It’s relatively affordable for that stage of the game and can be bought from one of the merchants in the crows perch (place with the bloody Barron)
All of the DLC armor sets (Light Temerian, medium Nilfgaardian, heavy Undvik) have amazing resistances to humanoid damage (bludgeoning, slashing, piercing) but don't compare to the monster resistance from witcher sets. So basically, Nilfgaardian for humans, Griffin for monsters.

I recommend using the Cat’s Eye potion in the grotto paired with the Aard sign.
There is a lot to loot at that steel sword location. There is also sort of a secret in the stone staircase.

good info .... for some great gear... the strength of The Witcher is the different schools and each having a distinctive weapon/armor set. The earlier in the game you can get each particular set and devote future play toward advancing that school, the more distinctive your Witcher will be.
Little tip also. I’m new to the game, enjoying it very much and didn’t want to lower the difficulty. I snuck around the boss fight, waited til he walked to the front of the room, snuck back in and looted the chest and kept it moving out of there.

Griffin is a must on your first play though. It can also be a very balanced for fighting as well.

davewxc it’s easy to get to level 20 if you do all the secondary quests and Witcher contracts. I’m almost there and i still haven’t travel to skellige.
Voltron Knight I haven’t traveled to Skellige yet. Does that mean i’m still early in the game and have so much story left? I don’t want it to finish quickly. I’m enjoying this a lot.
Rabiaah Abdalreda youre still in the very early stages of the game. Plenty of shit to do haha. I spend almost two weeks in Novigrad and Velen alone.
Voltron Knight skellige is so tedious to explore, I have done everything in the first 3 maps except for like the north east woods of novigrad so I explore a lot but I hate water in this game.
its cool though don’t bother to go for those undiscovered locations out in the sea except for islands. Those sunken treasures are not worth it unless you’re a completionist and you’ll be sick of them fucking sirens wailing at your ears.

For the griffin silver sword light house you can run and jump to the ledge to the right of the bridge door and climb the wall.

I did this quest at level 11 so I was able to do the grotto and handle the Ekimmara at the end without any problem. But there was a level 20 leshen in there that kept 1-shotting me afterwards. That seems to be a random thing though since you didn't encounter it in there and after reloading a save after closing the game, I went back in and the leshen was gone. Ran into it again afterwards in the woods about a hundred or so yards to the west of the grotto.

I played around 400 hrs of Witcher 3 - so I knew this already, but for new players this is great!
Two things to note though:
1. It's I-G-N-I not I-N-G-I.
2. The city at the end is Oxenfurt not Novigrad (Novigrad is the big city in the north).

Put in so many hours and explored every nook and cranny to remember that the armorer in oxenfurt is a dirty talker and he holds some valuable gwent cards.
I did one of the Witcher treasure hunts and activating it, it will lead you to all the place mentioned in the video. Wondering how I had already been to all the places he had mentioned
Griffin set is honestly one of my favorite sets in game, I didn’t even intend on doing a sign build it just sort of happened but the Griffin armor looks incredible and the stats are incredible. With the superior set and weapons I’m casting signs back to back with little to no delay

It looks gross tbh however it looks incredible with white armor dye. I use the black armor at crows perch for lower levels purely for the looks.

When you pick up the project, look on the "crafting menu".

@@marklindberg1266 you have to find the diagram for it. You wont be able to craft it until you get it. You can find on youtube or get a quest which will show where to get it.

Yea I'll admit some of ESOs videos are like this and it really sucks because he does have informative vids. But tbh I'm not enjoying the game so far. Extremely buggy for me i can't open any of the chests hahaha which is a common issue and i just don't like the overall mechanics and gameplay. This should have stayed on PC

If anyone sees, be careful when trying to get the armour piece because for some odd reason at the entrance of the poisonous gas a lvl 20 leshens spawn. I manage to kill it because i had the two weapons in this video and cheesed it. I want to know if this happened to people as well because it took me by surprised
I'm new player I've tried the witcher twice before and got as far as the Griffin and baled on it but I just picked the ps4 version up again for a tenner and upgraded it to my ps5 version and with a little concentration this time I'm enjoying I to noticed the first time I went to the poisonous gas entrance I was only level 4 and when I blasted the walk down there was a beast in there and its level just had a red skull to indicate way to powerfull for me but then the devs must of patched it not long after bringing the ps5 update out coz I went bk today and just went through to the end if the gas where I had to break a stone barricade kill some antler looking level 11 creature and then I looted the Griffin set I'm now level 12 now and I've barely even touched any of the main quest line
same thing happened to me, however it takes damage from the gas and if you leave it for a second it will kill itself😂

Aye, Griffin Set is the earliest set you can get.
Though honestly, don't know why they didn't just make every set the same level of availability.
Makes no sense how Griffin is equip-able first then Ursine later.
Especially when Master & Grandmasters are all the same level in the end.
If for any of you guys a Leshen spawns when you’re with the ekimora, like it did for me, avoid both of them and eventually the Leshen will start attacking it and kill it LMAO. Get out of sight and the Leshen will eventually wander off.
Yea for me by the time I got there the leshen already killed the ikkimara so I couldnt go anywhere
I was preparing for the ekimora outside the room.. then all of a sudden this leshan came behind me 😵 i freaked out.. nobody told me about this in any video and it killed me in one blow.

@@shiva-rh9of That Leshen is actually not supposed to be in there. It spawns in the forest above and for some reason aggros you through the cave ceiling and teleports in there.
@@hydrohomie254 so that explains it. I would reload and it wouldn't be there, reload again and it was back. Huge pain in the backside.

you can purchase from vendors or dismantle materials/junk
You don't actually need to navigate using these "instructions", after finding one of the pieces and a quest item, you can just read them and get proper quests, which will point to locations.
Starleader XV but... but.... it’s all on my phone already lol, I did think of just going through it like a normal quest once I got the silver sword but RUclips was already open and I figured I’d get the diagrams real quick

GroundedOnTwo there’s no builds? Hmm, then why is there different Witcher armor with different stats? Wanna play a combat based build? Use cat armor. Signs? Griffin. Wanna be a mixture of both? Wolf. There are definitely builds in the game, I can help you if you’d like

I've been sticking to the witcher gear I've decided to go for the ursine armour I'm level 20 now and just collected the enhanced blueprints ready for a few levels time. The only sign I use really is the quen the bubble version is great for some emergency healing

i know this is old but in case anyone is new to this game- at the first location- there’s a wyvern guarding the lighthouse. fight it. it’s pretty easy to defeat and drops some useful loot to craft decoctions. use aard and just stay to the side of it and wail on it with your silver sword. the drowners are also easy to hit with a crossbow bolt once and they will die. or just swim fast to avoid them. get all the loot there it’s well worth it

Anyone else got a level 14 dragon thing at the first lighthouse?
yup you can actrually see it chillin at the top of the lighthouse, and it will occasionally fly over to across the gap in the more open area. Just fight it there. its easy, attack/dodge/circle/repeat haha
