I'm a massive serge lutens fan, got 6 of his fragrances - ambre sultan, arabie, chergui, daim blond, santal majuscule and un bois vannile. I liked the vetiver oriental but I get rubbish longevity and projection from it, which is very un-serge like. I am terrified that the fragrances have been reformulated and am buying up ambre sultan, chergui and santal majuscule in 50ml wherever they are discounted.
Chergui is my favorite Lutens so far but I also like Santal Majuscule and Amber Sultan.I will definitely give the Vetiver Oriental a try. From your description it sounds a lot like Bentley for Men Extreme.
iLoved your treatment of SL. I had my entree into Serge Luytens with a surprising gift from my sister of the 50ml Borneo 1834. I just love the juxtapositions and creative surprises in this House, and have been drawn into more of the line. From samples acquired, I know there are many more I want to buy and use. SL draws people toward me, and I have had unexpected lovely conversations with strangers about SL I was wearing. The only other house that has proven to be conversation-engendering is Etat Libre d'Orange. Thanks for the prospective on where they are going with the various lines. Will be watching you from now on, and awaiting the developments you covered today. Cheers. John Benson
Hi ladies, thank you very much for the video! One thing I'd still like to clarify - so the 50ml size bottles will be completely replaced by the new 100ml version? Or will the 50ml still be present as well as the new bigger flacons?
What about the theory (widly spred in the internet forums) that the black label Lutens perfumes are way more (!) intense in concentration than their beige-labeled perfume twins?
I've watched all of your videos and they are phenomenal. But I'd just like to give suggestions. I felt it would be awesome if you could smell test on skin and on paper. I mean like sarah smelling Georgia's wrist to differentiate the smell on skin and on paper. Could you do that please? It would be awesome to see. And I'm sure more people will watch as it's something rare and different

+Rich Mitch we feel your pain but have been assured by the Serge Lutens people that formulas will remain unchanged in this repackaging exercise.
I have the same as you except Daim Blond and Un Bois Vanile; in their place it's Cedre, 5 O'Clock au Gingembre and Fille en Aiguilles.
