If there is something in English that I will not be able to fix it completely, it would be English pronunciation! All I can do is to lessen my foreign accent, but remaining will be with me forever!
I'm so lucky to find out such a supportive and wonderful RUclips channel. I kindly appreciate your invaluable lessons so as to enable your followers developing their English language proficiency.
Thanks a lot, fantastic Lisa, for your persistent devotion to help with learning English! You've given another practical words need to know. Owing to "Mastering The American Accent", I knew "ed-endings" rules. And I've finally lost my confusion about beer and bear)
Hi Liza! To talk frankly, I can't miss your videos, because you are doing an excellent job. My big dream is to meet you one day, then, being able to practice with you all what I have learned from you so far. I just want to tell you that you are my preference teacher for ever. Thank you so much for all your efforts. Even though I live in a country where English language is rarely spoken, I keep hope that one day this language will be at the same level with our national language. Take care of you.
As a Polish, I made only one mistake- Polish-polish:). Although I learnt British English and studied in the UK, I love your accent. It is so "clean" and easy to understand. I thought, that American accent is softer and harder to understand, especially for people from Slavic countries.
One of the bewildering part in English language is pronunciation. You have shown where I should press when speaking these various homophones. I try to get used to pronounce the words but sometime is awkward perhaps the feeling of someone can't understand what I speak
Thanks for pronunciation quiz. I have learned some new pronunciation and corrected my mistakes. English is not only about reading, translation or grammar ans it is all about how you pronounce the words. I appreciate that. Thumbs up! Cheers!
Interestingly, when learning to speak English in speech class in high school for debate and presentation, wore and war were pronounced differently. Wore sounded like ore, war sounded like are.
