I love Korchnoi trash talking his opponent with such contempt. It's as if he believes Nunn doesn't deserve to be at the same board as him! Quite a character.

It's 2023 and the sounds of the pieces moving would be an ASMR hit these days. Hypnotic to watch this game play out on older technology.

Great to see these Master Games again. Interesting to hear their thoughts, especially Korchnoi's comments. Is there a video pf Schmid beating Korchnoi? Thanks.

Can you imagine hearing Kasparov's thoughts: 'Exterminate!" 'What is this mouse doing?' 'How much time do I have to waste on this amateur?'.

Even in his old age Kortchnoi was able to muster up the strength to insult anyone within an ear shot

@RaniaIsAwesome It didn't fail to get viewers! It was surprisingly popular at the time, considering the vasy majority of viewers would have had no idea what was going on. And! it seems the BBC *are* now planning a new series, but no doubt will try to make it more comprehensible.

@@marintanev1675 Its chess match. Academic titles are not used (nor I see Korchnoi's who also finished his share of studies at the Leningrad university). It is unusual and standard ways of writing are normal. (GM Jose Cuenca and never GM Dr. Jose Cuenca despiste he id a doctor)
