I don’t share a lot publicly but this song is honestly the reason I didn’t commit suicide. Everytime I felt that low I would turn this on and he said one thing I’ll never forget “ it’s beauty in the struggle” and I know imma prime example of that . I hope anybody who’s going through anything can find that one thing that keeps them moving . Mine has always been music .

So live your life your happiness doesn't matter, you decide how you feel on things I just really hope you do what you want to do and therefore by extension I wish you happiness. the last time i heard this i was 20 years old homeless living in my work van my wife took off with her daughter and the dope dealer twicw her age and my live was falling even further apart then it already was. i was sitting in my van at 1am thinking about everyone who had fucked me over and everyone i had wronged and everyone who made an impact in my life. i grabbed the notebook next to me and started writing my suicide note listening to a playlist i had created awhile back. in my note i had a section for all the people mentioned above. it was 3 pages front and back. i was about 10 seconds from ending my life when this song came on.

those were the words that caught my attention so i stared off into space and listened to it on repeat and my mind started going crazy with the details of my situation really kicking in
looking back it made me realize that if i had never gone through what i went through i wouldnt be where i am now i wouldnt have learned the things ive learned and i realized that im better off then most because i know how to handle just about any situation thrown at me.
this song is the reason my music is what it is today and its the reason i am where i am today no longer homeless no longer in the pit i was in 3 years ago. this song saved my life and changed it for the better. this is the goal i have in my music because of this song. is that i can pass on my experience through my own music and hope that one day someone will be writing this same comment about one of my songs

Man...the first minute alone made me cry already. I work at a high school that is low-income, and I see so many kids going through this type of stuff. How I wish I could fix all of their problems and not see them suffer. When you're a teacher, you care about your students almost as much as if they were your own kids. I just wish they would know that things will get better, but so many of them want to give up and join gangs, get pregnant, get on drugs, etc. It's hard. I hope they're bumping J.Cole though; sometimes music speaks louder than a person telling you.

I got two phone screens this past week, and potentially interview set ups this week (waiting to hear back). The jobs are pretty promising (money wise) and align with my overarching values, characteristics, and skill sets that I would to hone in and master.
I've been doing a lot of introspection the past three months, and it's really allowed me to think and I can finally say I feel somewhat at peace for myself. I've never felt happier.

It’s the holiday season right now. Today is 11/21/2023. I just lost my job and found out I was pregnant. I have a 3 year old and a beautiful husband. Yes he listens to me and actually is EVERYTHING to me. He talks to me but I have a broken heart. Family hurt me. I was a foster child and it still lingers on my heart. So yes during the holidays I’m at my weakest. I always 2nd guess my happiness around the holidays. Overwork myself in the kitchen just for no family to come because in reality Im still that foster kid. Listening to this song builds me up. Nothing is better than YOURS! Love who’s in front of you.
