It's crazy how good the chat are in segments like this. Like they're not always comedy geniuses, but they can handle their stuff and tell a story well ans banter with Atrioc. Either the community is just really good overall or the mods are really good at vetting who gets to go on vc.
I worked at a movie theater in Tempe, Arizona, when I went to community college there. And I got fired because a sorority had rented out a theater to watch 'Titanic,' and they were being really rude to me while they were waiting for the movie. So as I tore their tickets, I told them the end of the movie.
I work at chick fil a in Oregon, and my experience has been very different from the CFA chatter. Although, the 130 people thing is pretty accurate. I think we currently have 112 employees. Also, mobile and drive thru drinks is exactly as he described but at my location it’s rare to be on one position for an entire shift
being a fine dining cook who wears black air force ones when i work. Connors story made me actually cry laughing when he said he was the drink guy and before he started and had to buy special shoes (which are deff just non slip shoes ) and then still had to wait 2 months holy shit
Where I work a reason to fire someone is because if you’re fired, you can not be rehired. Whereas if you quit you can be rehired. Some managers will fire you before you quit so in the future when they are gone you can’t get hired by a different manager. It is petty, but in some cases I can see where it’s appropriate.
so thats what the speed issue was. I had like blender open, many documents and so many other things and was wondering why this fucking thing is running like a toaster
19:30 i got fired recently from a company policy it totally makes sense but it sucks for me. here's a time i did angry quit. i worked at a pizza place and it was one of the minimum wage low points of my life anyway it's not my job to make the pizza but whatever i took one out of the oven and the pan is just flat, no walls to keep the pizza in place, so in my haste to work the fast pace nature, i perfectly balance it unto my table where im about to season but my manager trying to be nice and supervise me cuz im relatively new, he is a big guy his big gut bounced against my pan and dropped the whole fully cooked pizza onto the ground and i swear ive never looked more panicked and said alright this i quit. sorry can i not give a two week notice. he said no, but i quit anyway that day. i took my shirt off and left lmao

I work in a independent retail store, when people quit they try to buy the most obscure unsellable item just to see if they ever come back as a customer if it's still there. Some items have lasted 5+ years
That kid working on films was insufferable. I was in hollywood for a decade, and the kid thought he was super amazing messing with the teacher. She was doing a dumb indie film and giving the kids an experience. The kid was taking it SUPER seriously (when it wasn't, it was an indie film). Woke gen Z are horrible lol. "OMG THEY WERE TOUCHING EACH OTHERRR , I GOTTA TELL SOMEONE!!!". No wonder the kid hasn't gotten any work since graduating. Hollywood works based on how well you work with others.... which he seems incapable of doing.
Dude, if you legitimately think that two people you are working with fondling each other isn't really fucking weird and unprofessional. Then that says a lot about you as a person.
@IvoryOasis sorry for the late reply, but I have some thoughts. To me, it seems like the real problem is that she was making his job harder by not doing fairly basic things like providing shot lists. As a result, the predictable outcome (the shoot falls behind schedule) happens, making his life even harder. Given that he (and probably everyone else) was working for free - which is normal, to be clear - I feel like the least she can do is not make everyone else's lives harder. She's not Wong Kar-Wai, shooting improvisationally is a bad idea (especially without being clear about expectations). Also, this was well below the standard expected of students - wtf is the point of she can't keep to that? Also, people fondling each other on set is arguably sexual harassment, and by allowing it the director was absolutely facilitating a hostile work environment.

I would like to believe its the community! Degens when they chat but normal when on VC
it's just atrioc that picks, i don't think mods pre-screen. be on the lookout for yeti's messages in this vod.

The professor was totally contradictory to what he has been taught in film school. Defeats the whole purpose of film school.
