Rurouni Kenshin - Departure [Piano]

- This is Departure, from Rurouni Kenshin (るろうに剣心), composed by Noriyuki Asakura (朝倉 紀行). Unfortunately, my webcam stopped capturing for fragments of seconds in several sections of the cover, which gave me a lot of editing work and, despite that, left some unpleasant scars in the video.
Although it's an overplayed piece, I have decided to make my rendition, specially since I have never seen an arrangement using all the themes the piece has to offer. Thank you for the suggestion, my friend rurounisld (MeLexdy)!
IMPORTANT: If you have sensitive ears, turn the volume down at 3:27. My original idea was to play it in fortissimo...however, I had to play it a little bit more piano, in order not to fry peoples ears. Still, it might sound unpleasantly accute.
The elaboration of this cover was not authorized by those who wield it's copyrights, however no profit was gained from it. The only purpose of this video is to spread joy among the fans of Rurouni Kenshin Music.

2:00 is my favorite part of this piece. The change of emotion is just captivating to me man. You did a great job, I hope to play this as good as you one day.
I have hummed this song literally on n off daily for nearly 15 years. I do it at work, in the car (sometimes its fits the beat if other songs too). My kids even know about "Ruroni Kenshin" and know this by heart. I want my daughter to play it on her violin but Idk the notes n baby mama won't help lol

Just amazing! Every other departure cover has the normal piano version, but you made a piano transcription from the Departure master max soundtrack, which includes many instruments, and you did it spot on. Great job!

es la primera vez que la escucho entera!!! en muy pocos videos esta esta edición de la partitura, la mayoria se concentrá en el coro, que es ultra dramatico....pero ninguna tiene los arpegios n.n una hermosa versión!!!, vere de sacarle algo, porque me encanta esta melodia de kenshin!! n.n y la saga de shishiou era mi favorita!
Como me gustaría tener como song desde el minuto 1:58 hasta 2:58 , esas melodías simplifican mucha nostalgia propia. En fin eres un genio 😎✨

Thank you! I can find the notes because I received ear training. You can learn the arrangement through the sheet music (links at the infobox) or through the tutorial (it's in the tutorials' playlist, on my channel). If you want to learn to play by ear, I sorry to inform the best method is to find a piano teacher (I don't have the gear to provide this training at RUclips)... if you can't find a teacher, I advise you to start practicing by yourself at musictheory.net (explore that site completely!!).
