Ho Area Women's Ministry Donates to South Sudan through the Ghana Armed Forces, Ho Barracks

  • The Women’s Ministry of the Church of Pentecost in Ho Area under the leadership of Deaconess Fidelia Ametefe and flanged by Mrs. Comfort Quampah, the Wife of the Area Head and the National Women’s Ministry Executive Member of the Church, donated brand new clothes to Southern Sudan Abyei through the United Nations Interim Security Force in Abyei Ghana Battalion 2 (UNISFA GHANBATT 2) at Ho.
    This took place on 8th March 2023 at the forecourt of the Regimental Headquarters of the 66 Artillery Regiment.
    Presenting the items, Mrs. Comfort Quampah said, the Church in its effort to impact nations, is privy to the plight of nations with political instabilities and those faced with natural disasters especially Southern Sudan. The Church has not ceased praying for them, she said.
    Additionally, they felt the need to express their prayers also in kind by extending love through through the UNISFA GHANBATT 2 of the Ghana Armed Forces.
    Dcn. Fidelia Ametefe, further reiterated that, in line with the Church’s vision 2023 agenda to Reposition the Local Church for Maximum Impact in Nations, there is the need to reach out to the Children of God in all nations. Hence the Women by their own volition contributed to the items being donated.
    The items were sacks of brand-new clothes for all sexes and ages.
    Receiving the items on behalf of the Ghana Armed Forces contingent detailed for Southern Sudan, Rev. Lt. Solomon Aidoo, the Army Chaplain expressed his profound gratitude to the Lord and the Church of Pentecost for their kind gesture and fervent prayer for war torn countries.
    The Second in Command of the Regiment, Major Felix Opoku further called on other Churches, NGOs and organizations to emulate the charitable character of the Church of Pentecost and especially the Women’s Ministry of the Church for being thoughtful of the Southern Sudanese.
    The RSM, SWO1 Awusavi requested from the Church to pray continuously for the Soldiers who are assigned for peace keeping in Southern Sudan for the Lord’s protection and smooth execution of their duties in maintaining order and resolving conflict related issues.
    Present were some members of the Women’s Ministry from the Ho Zone and some Soldiers from Ho Barracks.
