I find myself talking to you, answering your questions, even though you made this video over a year ago! Julie, you are a delight!
This is gorgeous and I think the gold in the middle is perfect right now.
You are so good at making your own resin moulds. I love these white and gold the best.
Its beautiful!!! You're nuts if you're not happy with this tray.
I almost had a coronary when your tripod fell, that was close lol. I think this came out beautifully and looks great with the coasters. I got so excited when I saw you had made the tray mold, you should have saved the money you spent to order one - the one you made is awesome. I bought the silicone and mat to make one but was still a little intimidated to try it but you just inspired me so fingers crossed mine comes out 1/2 as good as yours!
What are those two you put together your work is gorgeous
Love your work. I'm such a huge fan❤
Hi! That's exciting!
So how do you clean your mixing bowl for the resin? White Vinegar?
I threw mine away last time.
Gold
Any suggestions on how to put handles on after it's cured?
Screws
The reason you're getting the rash is the type of gloves you're using. Those are vinyl. You need industrial Nitrile gloves. Vinyl does not stop the chemical from permeating the gloves and onto your skin. Nitrile is for chemical use, industrial nitrile is better to use.
What is happening is you're developing an allergic reaction to the epoxy because the gloves aren't protecting your skin. No matter how much you band those to your wrists, it's not going to help unless you use Nitrile gloves, they're really not an option. If you keep using vinyl it's going to get to the point your eyes will swell shut and your face will swell, you'll get rashes all over your body, please get Nitrile gloves.
The video is glitching a little Julie.
Looks like you have a twitch lol
Still watchable though so don't stress about it.
Bertiebeetle Art it’s the matrix! Lol
I wasn't sure if this was my internet again!

I love how you try new things and teach different techniques 😊 Love the tray❤️
I was shouting “ gold handles! “ guess you heard me 😂 pretty end result
"I shouldn't mix so fast"
*continues to whip resin like scrambled eggs*
this is so relatable to me, lol. I always stir too fast.
Get yourself a good tissue oil with vit E and green tee oil. Massage your hands and sleep with gloves on. It will heal the skin. Also wash your hands with enriched vit E washing cream. No alcohol or soap on your hands. From grandma.😊😊😘
I use oil no. 3 from Beautycounter for my hands!! It is so lovely!! It is all chemical free. I use it on my face too. It is lightening my sun spots!! Bonus!! Lol. It heals so quickly. I am having a facebook party actually ladies on the 18th if interested. It is the best thing i have found for my hands. Julie you works is amazing. I messaged on a different video, not sure ya got it?
Love and Blessings everyone!!!
That's not going to help an allergic reaction to the epoxy. She needs nitrile gloves not Vinyl like she's using now.
It looks beautiful!
I am a skincare & cosmetic formulator by profession and work with resin for fun.
One of the things I do is use hairnets when working in my professional work. I automatically grabbed for one when I took supplies the first time I made coasters to the lanai.
I still use hairnets with resin and it has been a lifesaver for me.
To fill bubbles, I drill a tiny hole in the bubble and use a syringe and fill it with colored or clear resin and those bubbles disappear.
It is easy to replicate colors if you measure them by grams.
Beautiful! It is just gorgeous! I love the display with the coasters. They come together so well.
“Oh dear!” You are a riot😆 I just love your videos!
I do too! Everytjing comes out amazing! 😂
I totally LOVE to watch you do the steps and would never fast forward!! Every success I have is a tribute to you! Your patience in allowing us to watch is so appreciated! I know it’s easier to do lots off camera but the easy way doesn’t help us beginners. Your labor of love does indeed help people like me have some successes! 🥰
You are so funny.... I know you were upset about your recording issue, but you handled it with charm. Both the coasters and tray are beautiful.
I love the gold and white handles
Hi! Im new to resin.... do you ever have to polish these to get them to shine? I've watch loads of vids and some end up having to use sand paper of varying grits to become shiny and clear. Is that because they've filed them into a shape and need to restore the shine?
Yours are gorgeous straight out the mold!
I really just wondering, how you can spend that much money to make mulds?!
🤦♀️ I just ordered a round one and the big square. The 2 was together £20.....
I love it. I think this my favorite by far. I love the color. I know u see it better than us, but I like the gold leaf the way it is. It gives more dimension.
New subscriber...and I can't wait to start making huge projects like yours. This tray is gorgeous. Can I purchase it....
Absolutely stunning Julie, you are definitely my go to artist now... Could you or anyone else please help me with a problem? I did my first resin pour 2 days ago and it came out stunning so yesterday I did a clear coat over the top and it's ruined 😒.. On the surface there's like a stain, you know when soap bubbles pop and leave those little rings? Like that, sort of like a lacey popped bubble stain.. Is there anything I can do to save it? I have tried sanding and maybe I'm not sanding enough but the marks are still there so no point pouring over it again.. Please please help x
You are such a joy to watch and you create the most beautiful pieces of art! I really appreciate you sharing these adventures with us.
I don't get why my molds are wrinkling but yours stay so flat.. everyone else's stay flat, I'm wondering if it's the brand of silicone my man grabbed..
Julie!!!! Ur b.s.ing us there, lady!!!! Whoa!!! What happened? We missed it all??? Do it again. Different colors.
you should pour your color about mid way to the edges, then your clear will push it outward. your clear is flooding from below and pushing the light flecks of color over. Also, most resin pours are 'upside down' meaning your top side is usually the bottom of the piece. That's generally how pre-made molds are meant to be used. Oh! also! you could stick your handles on with your topcoat that way you can decide later what side you like best... and they will stick up farther for use.
I think it looks damn good, painting the edges put it over the top for me....i get what ur saying about the gold leaf...pat yourself on the back, for first try it looks very professional 👏!!
How big is your tray mould? I ordered one from ebay its 30 cm x 19 cm but it looks so small compared to the one you just did? So let me know if yours is larger and where you got it from please? Thanks
Oh you are our household favrouite. I got you on repeat. Are you selling any more moulds? I saw on your eBay you just had the 2 available. And where do you buy your handles from? ❤
Hun the vid is jumping back and forth so bad it almost triggered a seizure for my son... If your not going to take it down and re-upload it would be a good idea for safety sake to put a disclaimer in the title
I love watching your videos your helping me get ideas, new ideas to resin here x mwah
Hey just found your page your Great! How do you measure how much resin you need ? I never know how to figure that out lol TIA
Really you are just awesome. Your work is fantastic. Love you mam. 👌👍❤❤
I like this tray very much although I would have taken the white and gold handles since this is my favorite color combination. I also like the thickness and the gold leaf is still there. Maybe casting the resin and then finally sprinkle the stained gold glass without resin on top at the end.
Hey thanks for sharing.. fun video... if you were to sand off the corners does it look okay? or need a polish or resin to make it look better? Please advise.
I absolutely loved your tray even though it was a year old. I’m still trying to catch up.
Por favor coloquem em português,gostaria de aprender, mas sou do Brasil,não entendo nada que falam
It looks like a slice of magical wood! I like it... the handles I wouldn’t have put in like that... but it’s nice
I bought a tray from a local maker it's amazing giving to my daughter as a birthday/wedding gift. Also 3 set cansiters and tissue box
You pushed it in with all the clear you poured around the gold leaf. Hope you are ok and didn’t get injured from your slip.
Lovee ur work, plzzz can u tell me what is this silicone stuff u used to make your mold 🙏
Turned out stunning! Did you make your own template for the mold? I'm new to all of this and it can be quite the money suck so I appreciate you saying you made the mold on your own. Off to see if you made a video on it....Beautiful work fabulous colors!
Yes I did
I’ve been toying with the idea of resin and serving trays, and had hoped to see your spin on it! You cheer up my days for sure! Julie, I’d LOVE to see you do a beach theme tray in this mold sometime if you’re able. Love to you! I’m melting over here in Texas.
How long does ur trays take to dry. Its been 24 hours for mine n my one still is abit flexible
Very nice tutorial. How did you make the mould. Please do a tutorial on that as well. 💕💕
I as well was shouting gold handles LOL just beautifully done.
You really staged it beautifully. Fit for a queen 👸.
I think it looked more realistic before you added the extra gold flake.
Just a suggestion maybe try using a tweezers to take your gold leaf out. 😃
I love it... I hope you fell more in love with it too. I see you painted the edges that really helped. Maybe put the screws in the handles with a washer and that will give it more stability.
Bonjour
Il est splendide!!!! 👍👍😊😊😊🌞🌞🌞🌹🍾
Between 1 and 3. Not #2 handles! Those look too bath roomy.
This is so lovely
What is the gold colour you used to paint the sides?
Beautiful, where did you get that pink mat?
It looks nice. Sort of looks like a big fossil fish. Take care.
Maybe you need to wait to pour the clear until the other colours have set a little
Try a black white gold and clear with the white handles
Can you do another clear coat with more gold in middle on top of it
Very very nice, thank you for sharing.
Love it. It is gorgeous. I may make one myself
Are you using Nitrile gloves? If not that might me why your starting to have a reaction to the resin. With that said love your work so glad I found you a few weeks back.
I got resin dust on me
Do you have an online shop to purchase from?
How do you clean out your measuring cups?
Dont be disappointed it looks very nice, i love it
Can you repeat this tray? I can’t see yeh process…
Simply beautiful!! TFS❤️
I love it! How did you create the shape?
Van you put glasses on or is it so slippery? I loove it
Love all the techniques you try and share
What kind of sheet did you put your mold on?
What if you added the handles with the flood coat?
What is the name of the ingredients in Arabic
Your killing me woman! Thought you dropped your pour. 😳🤦♀️
My tripod almost fell in it
Do you have a video of how you made this mold?
You may have lost the center you wanted but it's Gorgeous!!
I would have left it the way it was, it's still pretty.
Did you make this mold Julie?
Beautiful piece Julie. Always love to watch you! If you do this again, you may want to think about putting the handles on after the first layer dries so that they don't sink all the way through to the bottom. Your flood coat will hold them in place. Great job though. Love to watch your experimentation!
Thankyou
Looking beautiful.🥰
That is stunning! Love the handle choice♥️
I love it!!! Ty 4 sharing! 🥰
I think it’s Lovely!
عمل رائع استمري
How did you make the mould?
Absolutely gorgeous love it
So beautiful. ❤❤❤
Wowser beauuutttiiifffuull
This is so incredibly gorgeous!!!!
You use silicon for base?
Hi Julie...I love all ur work! Just a little tip on resin use...only use nitrile gloves when working with resin not latex. Latex is not strong enough to withstand the chemicals in resin which is probably why ur getting skin rashes. Amazon sell boxes of nitrile gloves FYI. Also never use alcohol to wipe resin from your skin only use soap & water or baby wipes because alcohol opens ur pores more and it causes the resin to seep into your skin. Just little pro tips I’ve learned over the years🥰
wow very impressed J
Glad you saved it!!
روعة
r/restofthefuckingowl would be a totally appropriate subreddit for this, lol.
😭 The most important parts for a tutorial didn't record lol, the actual pouring is literally the most important part, for me anyway haha. Sorry that happened to you! 💜
Gold was a good choice 😄
