So glad you've started doing these tutorials. Love the level of technical detail you go into. They are some the best on youtube as you don't just show how to create 1 sound, you explain in great detail how to go about creating your own unique sound, not just how to reproduce something you've made. Also, because you're not some youtuber who makes psytrance in their bedroom for fun, you are a well-respected and admired producer who makes quality tracks, so you know how these techniques will sound on a proper sound-system.
Your tutorials are top notch. Now after literally years I can make a PROPER pro K/B!PLs could you do a vid on snares?Cant find anything(or suss it myself)on how to do Pro snare.Oh and I bought intrinsic nature.Ridiculously good. Thanks!
Nice video. Left and right eq can be done in 1 pro q instance though and you can cut the side as well in pro q. Test linear phase on side cut too. Peace
Thanks for your comment! Yes off course you can do it in one PRO-Q ,you are correct. The video was intended to show it in a more "visibly understandable" way for people with limited knowledge on the basics of stereo handling. But yes indeed you can do it with only one Proq -q.
The sound design is on point! I do have a tip for you on making mono signals stereo (Especially Psy basses): try different stereo widening plugins and check each effect with null canceling! I use 3-4 different plugins on my bass every time I need a stereo bass and I check which one is the best with the Null trick! Hope that can help you! Also the first technique you show off introduces a lot of comb filtering (Check the EQ spectrum) which you might not want as it messes with the transient of your signal Therefor when using the delay trick you might want to fade in the transient to keep the click of your bass very clean!
Hi there my friend and thank you for your comment ! Off course there are even more ways than the ones in the video to create a stereo signal..Your way of doing it being among them for sure.. As far as the presentation of the techniques please keep in mind that i am trying to show the methodology and the theory behind the creation and did not spend video time on mixing and adjusting to perfection..(As you can see there is not even any eq on kick or bass)..I think its needless to say that everyone will adjust these details according to their preferences.Remarks accepted. :)
Hi there and thank you for your comment!...technique 5 simply demonstrates the creation of a stereo signal based on different volumes between left channel and right channel.....the 2 channels are mono left and mono right...when they play at the same volume they produce the same result as a dual mono track...by changing either the pan or the volume we create a "difference = stereo*....keep in mind that we are not isolating the difference...we hear it together with all the mono information.....if you switch the polarity of any of the 2 channels you will loose the mono information which is the core of the baseline....
@@SounDirectiveSamples thank you very much 4 enlightening this weird concept of M-S processing. I thought that we ad only the side information to add room to the bass ind the middle & higher mids 🙏
I really like your approach to present and explain concepts, it makes everything easier to understand. Can this stereo processing be applied to other elements such as leads, pads, and percussions?
Hi there and apologies for my late reply ! The stereo signal creation techniques demonstrated can be applied to anything.Keep in mind though that the methods here are shown manually in order to demonstrate the theory behind the stereo signal options that one might have. There is a ton of plugins that do the exact same job a lot faster. But if you only have one eq these ways can be applied for the same results. Thanks!
I would say you thanks for this marvelous video! The only things that I will know is an alternative to vengeance matrix, and analyzer. I know that there are many others choices but I will appreciate your suggest!!
Top notch tutorial...please dont stop them.

great tut👍 btw..
21:30 (technique 5) shouldn't i reverse the polarity of the right mono channel (M-S technique) ?
