we use inductor only for store charging, when ever source will not provide then inductor use store energy and current will fall but not zero because inductor current dont become zero and other hand as you said in pure dc act as short circuit. thank you with regards learn and grow

you are right but probably u havent hit the details that every inductor has some resistance as in this case we are considering a pure inductor the resistance is 0 so time constant tends to infinity and acts as a short circuit. The nature you can see that its linear but inductor can never be linear though and also there is something called conservation of energy where stored energy is delievered.
hello shit look although dc is flowing in the circuit but due to super fast switching( very small t) , there is change in current thus a large voltage appears across the inductor. so it works with dc current also. If there was no switch then what you said will be true.
