Btw, i subbed to your channel Rick. Keep up the great cooking you 2 do. Nothing like a loving dad and daughter cooking show. I love to cook too myself 😃❤👍
When I was a kid my mother made jelly from mesquite beans. Delicious. I may have to source some of this powder and take this cake to Christmas this year.
I used to watch this guy all the time on TV. Then all of a sudden TV quit showing his shows. Guess the Gen Z took over so all we see are reruns from shows that aren't interesting or educational. Rick bayless is definitely a good show to watch if you enjoy cooking new things. I learned a few things from this dude and his gorgeous daughter Laney i think her name is. She's beautiful! She's a great cook too ❤😊
We tested these in a home oven and found them to be done at 18 to 20 minutes, but in a convection oven they were done at 13 to 15 minutes. Apologies for the confusion, we've updated the recipe to reflect the nuance there. If using a convection setting, check sooner, but the doneness notes should be the same either way. - Chef Allison, Test Kitchen Director for Chef Rick Bayless
This looks delicious, love the gluten free content!
He seems genuinely happy to share his recipe on the internet.
How wonderful to have a beehive. I’d love to have one one day. Thank you for this recipe. The cakes look amazing.

Gluten Free Chocolate Cake that sounds delicious and I hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving thank you Rick.🇺🇲🍰🍰🇲🇽
I have a ton of mesquit in the backyard. How do I process the "beans", pods into something useable?
Sounds great! Where can you get the powder for home use?
The short of this video has a link to a set of 3 items, one being mesquite powder, from Burlap & Barrel.
Does mesquite powder trigger tree nut allergies? Sounds very interesting but vaguely nut adjacent.
in the video you say bake 13-15 minutes however in the written recipe you say 18-20 minutes... Which is correct please?
