I moved from Tonga to Australia in 2005, 2020 I moved from Australia to United States and after watching this video I want to move back to Tonga! 😂 I remember growing up in Tonga we didn't have money but we didn't need it. We would go fishing and catch other things in the sea to eat. We would go hunting for meat and also grew our own vegetables. Now that I am old enough I learnt that living in the islands is much cheaper, stress free than living in country like Australia, America, New Zealand, England, Canada etc. Tonga and many other islands may not have materialistic things that these other countries have but they have all they need.
100%! After living in Samoa for a year and then Tonga we noticed the exact same thing. Less is more, the simple life is far less stressful and we found ourselves much happier because of it. Sorry for the late reply!
After hearing about the Tonga Tsunami - My hubby and I thought of you guys. Hope you're both safe on Australian Shore. Also very sad and hope our families are safe at home in Tonga.
Thank you for the thought, we are safe and sound in Sydney atm but sending our love and good vibes to everyone in Tonga. Cannot begin to imagine what they’re going through right now. Hope you’re family is safe and you hear from them soon 🤞🤞
So crazy. I’m full tongan and have been brought up in Sydney, with my grandpa passing a few years back I now own land in tongatapu because the tradition of the land being passed down to the son(s) and as of late I’ve been really thinking about building something and living there!!!
Where's your mom from? I'm half too. I look more palangi though but my mom remarried to Tongan so we were raised Tongan. I love going to Tongatapu because no one expects me to speak Tongan fluently. My son is blonde and he speaks Tongan too. We love going to Kolonga and cry when we leave in true Tongan fashion.
Far out, your vids have come a long way since the days of the extreme spearfishing forums! This is unreal stuff and an amazing life you guys are living. Glad to see that cuttlefish still has its place at the start of the videos
Hahaha thanks so much mate! Yeah it's a bit different to the old "Sunday Sessions"! Stoked to know you've been watching from the start! Learning every day so stay tuned! Funny about the cuttlefish, we were thinking of changing just last night to a jellyfish but I couldn't do it, been there since the beginning!
