Why are there always people under every video whining about dislikes? That's how it works, there are some people who don't like some stuff, no matter how much you, or the majority of people, like it. Get over it.
People mentioned the storms, but forgot to mention the 100 km/h winds when the sky is perfectly blue and the sun is shining. Other than that, I believe the El Chaltén area to be the most beautiful place in Patagonia, bar none. Torres del Paine comes a close second, but Chaltén is the most beautiful for sure. Plus Chaltén itself has that Patagonian small town spirit, and it is the perfect hub for going anywhere by foot. In TdP you need vehicles to reach places like Los Cornos from Las Torres, and it is much, much more expensive than Chaltén. In Chaltén there are many places nearby that are amazing, like Rio Toro, Valle del Desierto, and the area surrounding the Fitz Roy Massif is absolutely gorgeous.

Beardio Sometimes a line one the mountain will be bolted (a series of anchors drilled into the rock with a hook that you can clip carabiners into). The lead climber (the first guy) will hook into them as he goes while his partner belays him. Once he’s done a section, the belayer starts climbing and removes whatever gear the first one laid down as he goes. When they get to the same place they do the next section until they reach the top. So to answer your question, they bring the ropes and gear with them and take it down as they go. Also, this did not look bolted so the first man placed their own anchors into the cracks as they went and the second man removed them
Beardio They may have a crash mat for the first bit. Depending if they have a friend to take it or if they want to double back for it. But yes the first bit is unprotected.
