And the action is only going to get more intense, as our seventh qualifying tournament will be hosted in one of the most iconic Japanese wrestling games in history: King of Colosseum 2! With a roster featuring the legends of NJPW, AJPW, NOAH, and a vast collection of freelance competitors, the potential for today's entrants seems endless. But among the nearly 200+ possible contenders, only 8 will chosen to battle; who among them will be the next to enter the Kingiest of the Ringiest?!

Just some context to Semmy Schilt. He is probably the most dominant kickboxer EVER. He used to fuck heavyweight up on the regular with ease and only had to retire due to a heart condition but no-one came close to him for a very long time in kickboxing.

Semmy Schilt was in Virtual Pro Wrestling 2, which appeared in the 2015 Royal Rumble Marathon, where he entered at #14.
As bad things usually happen to everyone in #14 IRL, in Schildt's case, he had to retire in 2013 due to a serious and near fatal heart condition.

Hashimoto's theme is so overlooked in my opinion, that man was a bad motherfucker and his entrance music was so epic sounding. To answer your question by the way if no one in chat answered it Jawnny, he won the Triple Crown in 2003 from The Great Muta but had to vacate it because of an injury, so you are right in that he won it before this game came out but it wasn't until after he started Zero One in 2000 and he started a partnership with All Japan in 2002 that he began wrestling over there too and eventually won it.

I wanna see yall do more with the Japanese wrestling games in the future if that’s cool, the 2k games have left me burnt out and aews game was mid, I’ll watch y’all’s content either way but more of the japanese games would be fun like messing around with the belts and leagues in this game
I've heard this game described as being a bit like a 3-D Fire Pro Wrestling which may explain some of how this went- "shoot" fighters usually do good against wrestlers in that engine because their logic is a bit more "practical" and less about building to big moves. The games also have damage carryover through tournaments, so put those together and you do sometimes get someone blazing through the card.
Ah yes, now I remeber why I hated KoCII, this was peak MMA>Pro Wrestler in Japanese pro wrestling.
