Videos like this are why I trust you completely. Most of the products you mentioned here are not new, and I think some RUclipsrs often use videos like this as an excuse to peddle new things that they recently got in PR and are currently "obsessed with". But I've been a subbie for a long time now and have heard you mention all of these many times before, which just rings true and I know you're not just saying you love something to make a brand happy or for $$$. So thank you for being one of the most genuine RUclipsrs out there- you deserve a million subs!
Dude, that L'oreal primer is my holy grail! You introduced me to it and literally nothing blurs pores and fine lines better. It beats my Tatcha primer which I never expected. I wish L'oreal was cruelty free that's my only complaint.
FIRST of all, I love this video idea! Second, HOW do you look so good in every color? Last week I thought your coral top was stunning, then your turquoise hoodie and blue eyeshadow on Sunday were just brilliant on you. Now the green! You look so beautiful in green. My gosh, you can really wear ANY color, I'm jealous!
She can also change her hair from blonde to dark brown seamlessly and the same colors don't look odd.....I went from dark brown to blonde and even my dad noticed 'Is the circus in town?' It did look odd even though it was the same old make up! He thought he was hilarious. ❤
I loved the way you film this- telling us your previous favorites from years past, then telling us why your current favorite wins the spot, and the fact that you focused on drugstore. Money has been tight, and I needed this video! 🥰
Thank you for talking about the essence highlighter. Everyone raves about it but I haven't seen anyone pale use it. Aside from Kathleen and she has a yellow based undertone. I am light skinned with neutral/ cool undertones. So it's nice to see someone similar like this product too.
Your eyeshadow looks stunning, that and your shirt really make your eyes pop! Companies come out with so many things now it's hard to keep up. I don't know how you do it! ❤

After you posted your last video on the CG powder I went out and bought one...... you’re right! It’s really good! It makes your skin look smooth and beautiful. I definitely need to try it with the primer. Thanks Jen!
Great video! Some brands would be easy for me, NYX - Butter Gloss, LA Girl - Matte lipstick in Snuggle, but others would be really hard to choose a favorite. Essence, Milani, Flower and even Elf, I can't just pick one. Well, with Elf it would probably be the bite size eyeshadows. Also, really nice eye look today!
Hi Jen❣️ I absolutely love watching your affordable drugstore videos....you always give me such great ideas for products to try. I agree with your Maybelline pick for the Lifter Glosses....I think I have every color now. And thanks for the Wet n Wild Stick Foundation....I’m picking that up for summer❣️🥰💯
I had never even noticed the L’Oreal perfecting base but I spotted it at Walmart and snatched it up. I tried it last night for my 16hr nursing shift and my skin/makeup looked AMAZING! A tiny bit goes a long way but it really is as good as you said. Thank you for the tip! ❤️
I need to get out my wet and wild stick foundation. I forgot I had it and I don’t remember if I really liked it or not when it came out so I just need to give it another try!

I love this! I'd even like to see a video on the 2nd and 3rd place products of these brands! I love hearing what products are most loved by Jen. It gives me an idea of what to buy if I need something new.
@@JenPhelps here in the UK can't get it anymore. I used it when I was a teen (late 30s now) but Clarins has something similar! More expensive! But can get as sample!
Do the Highend and indie “best of”. (You are one of only 2 YT people I still watch. Don’t change anything about your channel - swatches, weekly hauls, grwm... change NOTHING!) 😉❤️
I like that magic base, too. Used it for years! I liked their magic nude foundation, too. I wish they'd bring it back. It was the perfect mixing foundation. I still use the essence nude highlighter, it's awesome! I think WnW needs to revamp the blushes...again. I liked Revlon's old formula, too. The new ones are so powdery. I have tons of back ups of the old formula. lol
Hi Jen - here’s my list of favs from your noted brands! L’Oreal - Voluminous Original mascara (deep violet); Maybelline - Lash Stiletto (black); Covergirl Ageless Cream foundation (Natural); Revlon Superlustrous lipsticks - ANY - they are THE best & have such high-end feel/look; Physicians Formula - Glow & Mood Boosting blush (natural); elf micro-brow pencil (cool brown); Milani baked blush (Dolce Pink); Essence nail polishes - they wear forever; Wet n’Wild Coloricon blushes (Nudist Society). Thx!
You're so gorgeous and I just love your channel. I've fine tuned my beauty channels down to about 5 and you're in my top 3 girly!. Thanks for all you do, I love your recommendations! AND, I love your Sunday hauls!
Yes to part 2 Drugstore!! That WNW stick foundation IS really good, and I'm super oily. It's the most natural looking foundation I have. And it makes your skin look so smooth, almost airbrushed, and I'm 48, so I have THINGS to cover!!😄🤣 Love the green on you! Definitely one of your colors!!
@@JenPhelps I'll definitely comment again when I try them! I love wearing primer even without foundation, so this seems promising! You've also loved it for years lol so I gotta believe it's good. I want to give you a recommendation as well! You always mention dry skin and I have loved this toner for years, it saved me whenever I over exfoliated or dried out my face. Who-hoooo, drugstore video!! ☺️. I love that elf palette too and I agree the big palettes can be hot or miss. Their smaller palettes are definitely their best. Amazing lip products too.
Love this type of video comparison, Jen. Your eyes look amazing and I'm shocked to learn it's from that Elf palette. Will have to go back and visit that one again. I'm a huge fan of the Lifter Glosses too; have several shades. Great video!
I would absolutely love more of these videos. More drugstore and YASSS INDIE!!! I've been loving my Indie brands and discovering new brands. But it's been really fun to rediscover Drugstore brands New products (or old ones I haven't tried yet*). I became such a "Name Brand Snob" for a while there and getting into Indie brands has really opened me up into trying more and thinking of my makeup collection as being multi-use & not judging makeup for the packaging & price.
Your tops ones in L’Oréal,Maybelline, and Covergirl are mine. I did purchase in the past the tarte primer until I saw your video about the L’Oréal magic balm. I prefer the L’Oréal primer. Not just for the price. I feel it blurs more then the tarte primer. I did purchase the covergirl press powder after your review. It really is a good powder foundation. It’s buildable and doesn’t look cakey. Just makes my skin look so healthy. Has a nice slight glow.
I just got the lifter glosses in Amber and Reef. the formula is not sticky which is my pet peeve with most glosses. love so many items from flower.. I couldn't choose a fave!
Hi Jen! I just wanted to say that I love your videos and have been watching your channel for 3 years now, ever since discovering it. Your videos are so well put together and you give really helpful reviews.
Drugstore has really improved quality wise. I only buy drugstore as the quality is at times as good as or better than high end. All the money I save not buying high end, I can spoil myself more!
It really has! There is almost no need to buy high end anymore unless you like the packaging/color, etc. but formula-wise I feel like I can find pretty much everything I need at the drugstore!
You got me wanting to try the elf palette and wet n wild stick foundation. A high end version would be awesome! But I really enjoyed hearing about all these cheaper steals 😍.
I love the green shadow beautiful, also your lip color and the coordinating cheek color!!!! I just picked up the new CG powder cuz the video u made. I was on the hunt to finally find my shade, but the vid u made blew me away how great your skin looked. Can't wait to try. Great video🤗
I would really love to see a video like this on Indy brands! I love hearing about Indy brands and finding new brands that are amazing!! And of course I would enjoy a high end video as well ❤️
What a fantastic video! I am grateful for all the time and effort you put into your work. I respect your opinions and actually took some notes on not only what I definitely need to purchase, but what not to try... By the way, your makeup looked flawless. Can you show us what you used??? The green eyeshadow is beautiful on you.
Thank you so much Elaine! I used all products from this video, L'oreal primer, Covergirl Powder foundation, Flower Beauty Blush in Spiced Petal, Maybelline Lifter Gloss in Amber and the Elf Earth and Ocean Palette on my eyes. 🥰
Would love to see a part two! Love your picks, many of which I use and love. I've been on the hunt for the perfect concealer (who hasn't?) and probably have a couple dozen both high end and drugstore as a result of my search, and the new Wet & Wild Incognito concealer is pretty great. In fact, for me (mature fair skin, dark undereye circles with dry skin and lines), this concealer goes on smoothly, it lasts, and doesn't dry into a crinkled, cakey mess. It is a thinner formula but covers pigmented areas very well and dries down smoothly. Also, the new Wet & Wild Bare Focus tinted skin veil is fantastic! Nyx lift and snatch brow tint is a new favorite of mine too. These are just three new products I'm really impressed with out of the (many 😊) dozens of drugstore products, new and old, that I own.
I have also been loving the new Wet n Wild Incognito concealer and Tinted Hydrator! I feel like I haven't had them that long yet which is why I went for the stick foundation (since it's a long-time favorite) but who knows? Next year it might be one of those two!
Thanks so much for this video, Jen. I would love to see a part two of your drugstore favorites. It’s so helpful & I really appreciate all the time and effort you put into your videos.
Your eye look is stunning! The green is beautiful on you. I’m so frustrated because there are so many good drugstore brands but it’s difficult to get them in Japan.
This was a great video! I’m getting that Elf palette immediately! I love the eye look you have on that green is stunning! Blue and green are my favorite colors to wear and purple of course. The flower eyeshadows look amazing as well they remind me of Pat McGrath shadows. I agree with you about the wet and wild stick foundation it’s my go to when I’m in a rush yet it always looks good. I get so excited when I see you have a video uploaded I know it’s going to be good ❤️
I love Milani’s eye primer and the purple one lash primer. The L’oreal brow stylist with the skinny wand is awesome. Tarte is my favorite, but theirs is solid. Otherwise I’ve kind of sworn off drugstore. Too many disappointments that would have added up to a Netasha Denona or a boatload of Sydney Grace. Except those little Elf palettes, which are amazing.
Yes...Part 2...More drugstore and Indie brands!
High end and Indie version, please 😌!
I would love to see one using NYX, Almay, Neutrogena and LA Girl, and Kokie!
