Complete Oil Change on a Ducati Monster 821 and 937 | Including Mesh Filter Service
Welcome to the very first episode of The Moto Method! In this video, we'll be performing a comprehensive oil change on a Ducati Monster (applicable to 821 and 937 years 2014 through 2025), including the crucial mesh filter service.
Please note that for the 937 this procedure is ONLY applicable for the oil filter, drain plug, mesh filter plug, mesh filter, and service intake plug steps. As the exhaust system and its removal is very different for the M821 compared to the 937, the exhaust must be removed differently on the 937 than what is shown here
I guide you through each step of the process with detailed instructions and insights drawn from the tech manual and forum posts. We'll cover everything you need to know, from selecting the right oil, tools, to disassembly, service, and reassembly with those specific Ducati-specified compounds.
Step By Step Guide for the Following:
Tools and materials needed for the oil change
Draining old oil and replacing the oil filter
    Reinstalling Drain Plug
Removal, servicing, and reinstallation of the mesh filter
Tips for reassembling and ensuring everything is correctly tightened

Great job on this very high quality tutorial. My main challenge now is to find the parts online here in Canada. Any clues?

      I appreciate it!
So I looked around, and I’m not sure what part of Canada you’re in, but Ducati Richmond (in BC) has an online parts request form. If you copy/paste my parts list in there, then they should be able to put the order together.

Oh and just another thing, I tried copying and pasting the list here but RUclips Mobile is being weird. The list is in the description.
As far as the materials go, the local hardware store should have the right loctite. Gasoline is easy enough to source. The tricky part is getting the three bond 1215 and the Shell Gadus S2 V100 3. Maybe eBay? I got mine on Amazon.
You could call the dealer and see if they will put some in a baggy for you actually. Though that won’t work for the threebond. So either get that online or the alternative Permatex ultra grey gasket maker product. Make sure it’s the ultra!
